I took both my flute and piccolo into them for service. My flute played beautifully at first then it started to sound off. I couldn't figure out why especially since it just had been serviced. I started taking flute lessons then I found out the issue. The long screw which keeps the keys in place had almost come out all the way. Thankfully my flute teacher discovered the issue otherwise the screw would have come out on me. They didn't bother to tighten it all the way when it was put back together. I put my piccolo in for service the Monday before Thanksgiving. I hadn't heard from them so I gave them a call. The guy over the phone couldn't find it. I wasn't happy. I told them that they owed me a piccolo. I had to describe the piccolo to them, what the case looked like inside and out. They did find it with the band instruments going to Las Cruces USD. The tag that they had in their possession had my address being in Alamogordo not Cruces. I told the guy over the phone that I live in Alamogordo. Then he asked me if I wanted them to ship to Alamogordo school district. I told him that I wasn't in school and it's a privately owned instrument. I was happy they found but it had no business being with school instruments. It had a tag on it. I asked the young man who checked me out. How did my piccolo end up in Las Cruces band instruments when their receipt had an Alamogordo address. He couldn't answer me. I don't know what would have happened if it did go to LCUSD. Stay away from them. Don't get your instruments fixed here. They were very unprofessional. If I could give them a negative star I would.

Very, very BAD customer service when it comes to instrument repair!! Very unprofessional too in the way they handle private instruments. My flute came back from them with a screw loose. It almost fell out but my flute instructor caught it in time and was able to fix it. I left my piccolo right before Thanksgiving for repair. I didn't know about the flute issue until recently. I just knew that it wasn't playing right despite having just come out of the shop. When I called and asked about my piccolo if it was ready for pickup or at least the status of it. They couldn't find it. I gave them the claim number and they still couldn't find it. It took them a long time to find it. Even though it's a private instrument it almost ended up with Las Cruces band instruments. Then he asked me if I wanted it to be put with band instruments going to Alamogordo. I am not a kid in school playing an instrument. It's a private party. I had to describe what it looked like including the case. They are not very professional when it comes to instrument repair and taking care of your instrument in their care either. They mainly do school band instruments but they don't seem to care about private instruments left for repair. DO NOT give them any of your business!! If I could give them a negative star I would.

Came to ask about lease instruments and the man that helped me was very strange and unfriendly. A simple “we only rent to students” would have been fine. I didn’t need the drawn out, uncomfortable line of questioning.

Was looking to buy a piano and White's Music Box came up when I googled. I was wanting to buy a piano on a budget and I found two at the store. Erika was friendly, Mike was informative. Ended up buying a spinet piano right there and then.

The employee at White's was very helpful and courteous. I brought my daughter's flute in for a repair on a Friday and the work was completed by the next day. This was a great experience, we were expecting the repair to take at least 4 days, so having such a quick turn around time was really great. The flute was cleaned and sanitized for Covid precautions, which was another service I really appreciated. We will definitely return to White's Music Box for future instrument purchases, rentals, repairs, supplies, and service. Thank you so much.

The folks at White's Music Box exceeded our expectations. We purchased an item that needed repair and it took longer than expected. Throughout our wait, they were conscientious of calling us to let us know there was a delay. When they called today, they had upgraded our item and gave us a gift receipt for our patience. This kind of communication and customer service is why we will recommend them to everyone. We are their customers for life!

I contacted White's Music Box to see if they are able to move a piano i recently purchased from a private individual. They do not themselves but were very nice and recommended Fernando. He was fantastic, reasonable and trustworthy. Please call White's for his information if you need a piano moved!
