DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE unless you want to buy a new engine!! I took my car to Take 5 for an oil change on 9/21, and by 10/1, my car started making a loud knocking noise and had no oil in the engine. When I brought it back, they confirmed there was no oil but found no major leaks. They topped off the oil and told me to return in 1,000 miles. Unfortunately, the damage was already done, and my engine was blown, costing me $3,200 for a new one. My car had been well-maintained and had no issues before this oil change. The dealership even mentioned they often have to replace engines on new cars due to Take 5's poor oil change practices. When I brought this to the shop's attention, they pulled the Carfax trying to find any reason to blame me, but this vehicle was a certified used vehicle bought in March 2024 with all the documentation and only had two owners. I requested the full video of the oil change being completed, and they stated that they were unable to send the video but decided to send still shots after I told them I was pursuing legal action. Still pictures prove nothing. Avoid Take 5 if you don't want to risk needing a new engine.
