Walking into this shop is a welcoming experience. No pressure. Just friendly, knowledgeable conversations about the pieces on sale. The shop is family owned; Alois Wagner jewelry can be found there. I've visited every time I've been to Albuquerque. Last time, I bought a gorgeous turquoise ring from Alois, who usually crafts bracelets. Stop by for a look-see; you will enjoy the experience!

I dealt directly with one of the jewelry artists who has items for sale here. I met Alois Wagner when he was selling his work in the Old Town square. His work is beautiful, but he did not have a particular style in the stone I liked best. Mr. Wagner took the time to explain his work, including the symbols stamped inside the bracelet. He offered to custom-make a bracelet for me that I could pick up later in the week. He measured my wrist, took a tiny deposit and my phone number, and promised to be in touch. Much more than true to his word, he made THREE lapis bracelets for me to choose from. He wrote out all the information about the symbols and his signature so I would remember it, and gave the bracelet a last fine adjustment. I love his craftsmanship and enjoyed doing business with him. The shop, run by Mary, is full of beautiful goodies that please the eye and tempt your pocketbook. Very worth a stop on your walk through old town Albuquerque!
