Wonderful people selling excellent handmade jewelry at fantastic prices.I had the pleasure of working with Dominic Jr., Nina, and Michael through many different experiences- this business is exceptional and so are the people in it.They treat everyone fairly, provide flexible buying opportunities, and are thoughtful and considerate of their customers.I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My mother sold this establishment 20 lbs of pinon nuts when they were in season, only to be given a counterfeit $100 bill. When my mother went to purchase gas at the gas station, the clerk called the police and questioned my mother. She then stated her business and the $100 was retrieved. The people at First American Traders told my mom and the police that the man/buyer was not affiliated with F A Traders and no legal form of payment was given. Shady bordertown dealings such as this gives Gallup and it's business owners a bad name. In short, do business elsewhere. Shady.

The woman working behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. She asked Dave (manager/owner, tall white guy) to help her out with one thing on my behalf. He came over and was grumpy and nasty. We walked away. There are better places to spend your money in Gallup...lots of great trading posts.

I love this place. I stop every time I go to New Mexico. They have a variety of items from pottery to jewelry to fetishes. They have artisans working on premises too. Lovely atmosphere, friendly people.
