Bought a nice Navaho bowl and some turquoise earrings at a great price. Bill was warm and friendly, he and his daughter were super helpful and recommended other places to visit while in town.

Bill Malone and I may be related. My paternal grandmothers name is Ruby Pearl 'Pirley' Malone Skelly. She lived from 1895-1985, mother of ten children, my father being one of them, he was John Prestley Skelly [05/07/1925-10/16/1998], son of Robert Lee Skelly [1888-1962].I have passed through Gallup, New Mexico, U.S.A., many times, although I had no knowledge of this particular business being there somewhere.I found it by chance entirely here on Google Maps, during a re-orientation browse.I am the last of five children, not an easy make, but a necessary one.I am still on my own my own, although, three immediate family members of mine are now gone, just over a span of a half century: Brother Steven, Father John, Mother Wanda.I am on my own, now age 54, born in the year 1967, and four years later, my birthday became United Nations Day on October 24th, 1971.Cheropachokee[A portmanteau, or word blend from Cherokee X Apache].

We visited on a brief stay in Gallup and we were greeted by Bill Malone himself. He was such a nice man, sharing wonderful experiences, knowledge and personal stories. We appreciated how welcoming he was. We found a couple of amazing pieces, a handwoven rug and a painting. Be sure you stop by Bill Malone's Trading Co when you're in the area. You'll be glad you did, and I bet you find a few treasures to take back home with you.

We left a bracelet for repair. Turned out they could not do it in house, so they sent it out for repair by another shop. It took more than two months, but the repair work was excellent, and they even refunded some money we paid up front. A bit slow, but remarkable service and integrity.
