“I have not stayed at Billiy the Kid Country Inn but still highly recommended it. I called this past Tuesday to get a room in late May but they were booked for my desired time. Ms. Elaine (I hope the spelling is correct) told me she would call back by Friday if there was a cancelation. She did call back Friday evening to tell me there had not been any cancelations. There are not many businesses that would have made the effort to call back. She is a woman of her word. During our two conversations I think I learned more about the Lincoln County War than I could have found in any library.”

“Rooms are old but clean. There are some things that could use attention. Key for door only worked if you held the handle in place and turned, there were a couple stains on the carpet and the hot water knob on shower was broken off. Easy enough to turn on by hand, but not so easy to turn off with wet fingers, but using washcloth to get grip worked. The price was about a third of what the Super 8 down the road wanted. All in all it was a decent stay for an overnight and I'd stay again.”

“We have stayed here twice and it's the best place to stay in Fort Sumner, NM. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. The carpet is new and clean. The rooms are large. TV and internet worked great. Quick breakfast was perfect. They offered juice, coffee, great Belgian waffle machine, whole fruit, donuts and cereal.”
