I've lived here in Farmington for 3 years, and I've been to 3-4 repair shops, but I like Uncle Bob's repair shop the best. Best price and service satisfaction! Decided to make it my home auto repair shop! Thank you, Uncle Bob. Reservation is required for Service! It's really busy here.

I own a local heating and cooling company here in Farmington. Bob has been taking care of my business fleet as well as my personal vehicles for years now. I don't trust anyone else to work on my vehicles. Bob is a man of integrity and stands by his work. I highly recommend Uncle Bob's Auto & Truck Repair.

My daughter drove to town and her car was making a horrendous noise. I swapped out the alternator hoping it was a bearing making the noise. The alternator looked crusty and it was an easy to get to, 30 minute fix. Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem.
Our daughter needed to leave town, so we sent her with one of our vehicles and decided to get it fixed locally. I do not have the time to do a deep dive on her Civic, so I looked for recommendation's
on Google and they did not fail me. The reviews online for Uncle Bob are accurate. He got us in quick, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and got the car back the same day. His pricing was very fair, IMHO. Everything is expensive now a days, and Uncle Bob’s service and quality of work, with the time and hassle I saved, it’s worth it.

June/july 2022 I took my car here to figure out why it wasn't starting it would crank but no turn over. They diagnosed it for 100$ to be a fuse problem.
July 2022 I had taken it back because now my crankshaft sensors were going crazy I personally replaced them with autozone parts. Still came back faulty on my OBDII so routed to timing needing to be done this is when I brought it to them they said it was going cost roughly 900 for timing to be fixed which included water pump, belt, crankshaft sensors, timing realignment. Waited 4 days to get my car back.
Everything looked fine
Sound however was still there
By that Friday which was 2 days from when I picked it up from Uncle Bobs, the check engine light came back on I was beyond furious! I took it to another shop. They had mentioned that my water pump was never replaced neither was my belt and the timing was misaligned the crankshaft sensors looked old.(how when I replaced them and uncle bobs replaced them right) Well I didn't have money to fix the issue again but I paid for their diagnostic. On my way home in the second lane by old Kmart a rod is knocking and now she won't crank or move. I was heavily pregnant and couldnt fix it myself.
So prepare yourself for more damage or "duct tape" fix to your problems if you aren't forking out multi thousands of dollars or have a great relationship with these guys or you go try to tell them what you think the problem actually is they will keep your vehicle for "the time it will take" An women if your are pregnant or have no idea what is actually wrong with your vehicle take it somewhere else. I am now having to rebuild the motor because of these guys and I checked too my initials were still on my belt so thanks.
Update: Ah yes, the technical dates of this occurrence. However I have not returned phone calls because I will not be doing business with them. Why would I take my business back to them. As for this review being late ah yes again ignoring that you know life happened and I wasn't able to record it but being that I was getting back to making my vehicle running again curiosity of, if I had ever left a review sat on my mind for a good couple weeks. The more I dug into my engine the more I found more out, the more I took apart the car, the more I was frustrated with myself in trusting someone else to fix my vehicle but I wanted to make sure that maybe I wasn't going to be the only one.

I was told by another business I needed new shocks and struts. I chose to take my car to Uncle Bob's because of his reviews and because I've lost confidence in the other auto repair businesses I have tried. I was told by another place I needed new shocks and struts. He diagnosed my car and said he'd love to sell me shocks and struts but couldn’t in good conscience do that, when they were fine. He took the time to help me understand the repair.
He made the necessary repair that was ¼ the cost of shocks and struts. I finally found an auto place that is honest and doesn't take advantage of people. Uncle Bob's is the place I will be taking my cars to from now on. He's great!

I didn't use this shop. They gave me advice on how I might address the problem cheaper, then also recommended another shop in town that could get to me quicker.
Honest, selfless advice. I will definitely use them in the future if our schedules align. I would recommend them to anyone.
