Do not take your vehicle here. Took them almost 7 months to fix our vehicle and kept blaming the insurance for it taking so long. We haven’t even had our car back for a month and the bumper is falling off and the paint is coming off.

They give you an estimate when you walk in - UNHEARD OF in this town! Friendly, professional, and excellent workmanship. They handled the insurance work and everything and made this ordeal stress free. I can't say enough good things about this shop!

This is the worst body shop I’ve ever encountered. Do NOT choose this shop! My vehicle was involved in an accident in Oct. 2023 and I JUST got it back on Friday, 7 months later! Mario gave me the run around the entire 7 months about why my car was taking so long to be repaired. He blamed the insurance company, he blamed parts being on back order, he had every excuse in the book. When I finally DID get my car back, there was a bug guard installed on the hood that wasn’t originally on the vehicle, the headlights are not the original headlights, and they used after market parts. My car was only a few months old when it was hit, so not only did my brand new car sit in this shop for 7 months while I made payments on it, but when It was FINALLY returned to me, it had the wrong parts on it, extra parts on it that look terrible, and it had a dead battery so I had to drive straight to autozone and buy a brand new one! Do NOT take your vehicle here!!!!!

Mario and his staff were awesome! They're honest, straight forward and really helpful. They were able to squeeze me in to repair my driver's side door. Their work is amazing and the shop is immaculate! If you need a body shop, these are the folks to see.

Do not trust this shop. They replaced my radiator and condenser. When I picked up my car, i drove it 3 miles and my car over heated. When I looked under the hood, I found the reservoir and the radiator 100% dry.
The shop had my car towed back there, and when I came 2 days later, the fluid had been added.
The shop owner lied to my insurance company about the situation. But I have witnesses and video of the radiator and reservoir after the car over heated.
A mechanic who lies to his customers is a liability to the community and the safety of everyone on the road.

Very good company. They accommodated with me when my bumper was being put on, and stuck with me the whole time while I was waiting on a third party insurance to cover the costs of my car! They were very friendly!

Auto specialties did an amazing job on our truck. We had some scratches & you'd never know they were there. The truck did come back with white powder covering the entire interior from the work done on it and that was disappointing but I let them know and they did offer to detail the truck however it went back to work out of town & was here labor day weekend. I called but was told they would be closed for the holiday weekend.

If you want to know what truly took place when my car was being serviced, you may speak with the San Juan Magistrate Court, because that is where this issue is going to be resolved since Mario has no professionalism whatsoever and now is publicly gaslighting me... Mario was trying to charge me for parts on something THEY broke when it wasn't even supposed to be touched, AFTER I already paid but noticed damage to my car. My car was released to me because he knew if police got involved they would say I was correct... My fender, door and bumper were supposed to be repaired. My rocker was dented, scratched, and placed improperly, I have photos with the location showing it happened there, so Mario can continue lying, but he's just embarrassing himself. The Judge can decide what actually happened, but I promise you I didn't rip off my own rocker and cause $800 worth of damage.

My daughter is putting up with some shit from a company in Farmington that she shouldn't have to. Where is the customer service? Where is their integrity? How can employees and especially the owner do this to someone? Everyone needs to be aware. This company wanted her to pay for parts that they broke and then damaged her car in another part of her car, that they never should have touched. On top of that, the owner talked shit to her and now refuses to have any integrity and fix what he screwed up. How disgraceful!!! I'm all for locally owned, but I would NEVER take my car here or recommend this company (with 23 years of experience or not).

CONTINUATION OF THE PREVIOUS POST... Now, on day 21, I decide I've had enough, so I go into the shop to talk to someone in person and hopefully get an accurate answer on when my car will be done. When I pull up, everyone is on lunch AGAIN, so I have to sit and wait an hour for the owner, who was inside the entire time, to open the door. Once I finally get to speak with the owner, I ask him for an update and he has no idea what's going on with my car, even after looking in the file, looking out into the shop, and walking out there for a couple of minutes. While he was looking for an answer, I mentioned to him that his receptionist had failed to call me back when she said she would 4 times and he proceeded to argue with me. -_- He said she had an emergency today and left suddenly this morning. I acknowledged that, but told him again, this is the 4th time this has happened, and there's no way she just happened to have an emergency every time I call. He continued arguing and making excuses and told me to "calm down" which was interesting coming from the person who was arguing when all I was doing was trying to make the owner aware of his employee's conduct. Would he have said to "calm down" if a man had said the exact same things, because I was not raising my voice, or getting emotional at all... I told him that not communicating about something that costs $2000 is unacceptable and he tells me "that price is about average around here..." Sir, did I complain about the cost? No, I'm complaining about your shitty customer service. -- Either way, if his receptionist was unable to return my call, shouldn't he, the owner, be returning my call then?The mechanic came in to talk to my husband and I. He brought us out to show us the progress on the car and let us know that they broke a couple of clips when they removed my old fender, so they were waiting for some clips to come in and that they are supposed to arrive tomorrow morning. He said my car should be done by lunch time tomorrow.The next day after lunch I called the shop once again to see if my car was finished, as they stated it would be. The receptionist told me that they were still waiting for the parts to arrive and "IF the parts arrive, like 3/3:30." This time it was FINALLY a correct time. They called me to pick up my car at 3:12... aaaaaaand the piece they replaced had a gap. I showed the owner and he proceeded to explain to me how "plastic expands in heat" talking to me like I'm stupid again. I told him okay, that's fine, but I paid for my car to be fixed and it's not fixed... he then tried to ask me to pay for the clips they had already replaced since they broke them, he had already sent us out and said have a good day with a receipt... so I told him I'm not paying him anything else and he told me "then you can take your car and get the hell out."Overall... the customer service at Auto Specialties is complete trash, they have zero sense of urgency, and the owner is a misogynist and a fucking JOKE. If you need work done on your car, I'd recommend going literally anywhere else, ESPECIALLY if you're a woman.

Mario & Christine and other staff really helped me out here. Hit a coyote right after Christmas and they worked as quickly as they could. I had communication issues with my insurance but these guys kept me in the loop. I got my car back better than before. Would recommend them and understand most waiting is on insurance or mail/parts. I apologize it took so long to get this review up. Thanks again ladies and gentlemen!
