Embudo Valley Vineyards and Winery is a hidden gem and a don't-miss stop in northern New Mexico, conveniently located between Santa Fe and Taos. This down-to-earth winery offers a warm, welcoming, and cozy atmosphere in a contemporary-rustic tasting room with gorgeous hardwood floors, local art, and a quaint wrap-around porch. The space is comfortable and inviting with great outdoor seating and a small yard area that often features live music. The winery specializes in small-batch, hand-crafted wines with great flavor and very unique character. The selection includes a beautiful red, a favorite reserve red, and unique blends of grapes and local apples, all from their fertile organic vineyards rooted in sandy, loamy soil. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and helpful. The tasting experience is fantastic and worth the price, with healthy pours. It is an idyllic place to take a break, relax, and unwind, offering ample parking and a river rafting atmosphere within walking distance of the Rio Grande.
