Package arrived at 1:58 for pickup, I came at 11:19am the next day and they already returned it. Just one more reason why local USPS is going the way of the dodo ??♂️

Amazon/UPS seem to be handing over most of their packages to USPS nowadays. There's NO WAY a building from the 90s was ever meant to store/handle/distribute all that volume. Taxpayers haven't funded the USPS since the 70s, folks. And Governors certainly have nothing to do with it. Considering all that and the influx of people moving in, the employees have always been very patient and extremely helpful! Try and pick up your packages on time and double check your Amazon account (held at carrier location means its at the PO and delivered means its at your box) before putting people on blast. USPS was never meant to be a storage facility.

I've had great experiences with the folks who work at the El Prado Post office. They are kind, courteous and have gone above and beyond to help me track and locate urgent time sensitive packages. Ian specifically has really helped me out. It's incredibly high volume and they do a great job to help keep the rural community in our mail. Thanks so much for all your hardwork.

WHY is USPS CONSTANTLY UNDERSTAFFED??? Is it our Governor's fault? Don't we PAY YOU ENOUGH??? Maybe we should VOTE DEM OUT! Atrocious. Y'all need to fix this NOW. Especially with the obscene shipping prices we're forking out. JUSTICE NOW.

I have been here multiple times to add my name to my girlfriend’s PO Box as I moved in with her in January. Each time, they’ve assured me that my name has been added. Went by today for the third time and the guy says “Oh whoops, your name isn’t on the box.”I’m missing pay checks, tax documents, vehicle registration, and insurance because of the morons who work here.

Same experience as Scarlett and other recent reviewer. This particular employee refuses to answer simple questions. It’s bizarre behavior. She Could not explain why there were two slips and only one package. She Threw the confusion and issue right back on us saying we needed to review all our recent orders from Amazon, etc. to figure out what’s missing. How does this make any sense? Kinda funny but also totally maddening. ?

Ditto what the reviewer Scarlett said. This is unfortunate. Everyone else who works here is personable and friendly. This same postal worker seems to be missing some basic social cues. Consistently, she cannot seem to answer questions directly and would rather just be childish and annoying.

Employee with snakeskin print glasses had unreasonable attitude, shame as I was going to compliment them until they started being rude As someone who has been dying in agony several times without giving people attitude, it's unnecessary. My package wasn't ready, totally cool, NBD. Asked the front desk when it would be ready so I could come pick it up, I know holidays mean things get busy and I don't want to be a bother during a busy time, saying I could also just come tomorrow to pick it up. She said it would be done later today, I asked, " about when do you think? I'd hate to come too late", she said, " later." I said "ok, what's the latest I can come to give you guys time?" She said later again, I asked for clarification," like(as in)do you guys close at a certain time? Should I come in like around 20, 40, an hour, two? Do you guys just stay open?" She was like just come later. Lmao?. It's almost like stating your hours is amongst one of the very first things you're taught to do when working ANY job. She held up the line for what? For fun? For forgetfulness? I doubt she forgot tho closing time is something you usually look forward to, it's just one of those moments where people have the vibe of doing it for the sake of being oppository and confrontational. Hope they get whatever they need to help them be more reasonable, chill and capable.

I was treated like a child. I was respectful and patience. I was treated very rudely and was denied access to my package due to the worker not wanting to do it. No other explanation.

I have lived here my entire life and I have never dealt with or met more rude and cruel people. They have lost multiple packages of mine and put them in the wrong boxes so other people ended up with them and then manage to yell and blame the customer. One of the ladies her name is “k” or “Kay” that works there proceeded to yell at me telling me that I was basically dumb because she put it in my box herself, after then finding out she put it in the wrong box again and continued to mistreat me over it. They loose everything and then blame the customer. I have left that place crying without my mail more times than I have with my mail because of the way they treat people. And I have to drive an hour to get to that post office. I’ve Also seen them mistreat elderly people and be angry because they are at work. We all work hard and they think they’re the only ones that do. The only nice person that works there is Judy the postmaster and she’s kind and helpful but when she’s not around everyone is horrible.

I can’t say enough good things about this post office and the women who run it. They are always courteous and helpful while also being efficient. They give you all the info you need without you having to ask for it. Coming from a larger city, I appreciate the small town feel here where locals are greeted by name.

Smaller than the post office in Taos. On the main drag. Friendly workers.
