ReStore - Habitat For Humanity is a friendly and helpful store in Taos that offers a wide variety of items at very reasonable prices. It is a popular place to buy everything from nails in large quantities to light fixtures, plumbing items, paint, and small hardware. The store also stocks furniture, doors, bed frames, sofas, bookshelves, desks, and various household items like dishes, glasses, curtains, and sheets. Additionally, there are clothing, shoes, backpacks, and camping gear, along with gardening supplies, art, exercise equipment, and collectibles. Many items are donated, sometimes resulting in outside boxes or bins with interesting finds, such as leather or rocks. The store often receives large furniture donations, though they sometimes suffer from weather exposure due to limited warehousing. Staff are friendly and maintain organization, making it a fun place to browse for treasures and deals. It is considered Taos' main recycling center, offering a unique shopping experience with good prices and a variety of items.

You might say that this is Taos' lone recycling center. Peer under that rusted BBQ grill and you could discover the Hope Diamond. Or, more rust. Friendly, helpful staff.

I've bought housewares here, kitchen items, yarn, postcards, stationery, and books. I've even found good stuff in the free box. It's a fun place to poke around and find treasures. One of my favorite stores in Taos.Also, check out their new, second location on the south side of town.
