“I have been using Acequia for four years, for my two dogs and cat. They have a great team, they don’t cost an arm and a leg, and they have seen us through multiple health issues with our animals, and kept my pets healthy. I’m very happy with them!”

4001 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque“Being a new client they helped set up an appointment in a timely matter. The wait wasnt very long at all. The veterinarian who saw Groot was very patient with him...even when he went ballistic when they tried to test him for Leukemia. He received a good bill of health from a thorough examination. I received some good advice and suggestions on preventative care. A+”
“Lovely staff, helpful and friendly. We’ve called a few times to monitor our kitty’s condition and they’ve always responded super quickly. They’re helping so much with our little guy’s care!”
“we had initially scheduled an appointment to put our cat, Bud, down at 11am. unfortunately Bud passed earlier in the morning. we brought him straight in as we were planning to use their private cremation service regardless. i wish i got her name, but the blonde receptionist was so kind and patient as we said goodbye to Bud. she sat there and patiently listened as i told her about Bud and his favorite things. she gave us the time we needed to say goodbye even though we came in without notice 3 hours before our scheduled appointment. would recommend them 100%. thank you again”
“This office is really friendly and very nicely laid out. My dog loves to visit, as the girls at the front and back desks really spoil him! The veterinary care is top rate.”
“This Vet is just so wonderful . They really care so much for the fur animals. They know how to make a vet visit experience a good and pleasant experience for your animal, they greeted my dog & I w/ treats to make him feel comfortable, safe and less anxious. For the 1st visit, it should be a rewarding experience for them , not traumatic.”
“What a great team! They have been so kind and helpful. They explain things very well and answer all questions clearly. They are so compassionate and took excellent care of my kitty (and we’ve been coming here for 8 years). Both doctors are experts in their crafts. I trust them all completely! The front desk is also wonderful. The purrfect place to bring your kitties :)”
“Everything about this place is top notch! We are from out of state and needed help with our dog. My wife cared for Buddy for almost 14 years but it was time to let him go. Buddy had been at her side during some difficult periods. It was heartbreaking for me to watch her say goodbye and I was on edge at first. I even snapped at one of the sweet ladies helping. Their kindness, professionalism, and even patience with me was exceptional. To the vet, and to the other professionals who helped - thank you.”

The leadership team seems to always be thinking on how to improve their customer experiences. It’s awesome because I’ve been going for about 7 years and it seems like my pet gets cleaner every time I step into that place. They change their approach on shampoos, brushes, sprays etc.. All of this really helps so I’m appreciative of them! They do it all! 12/10 on this business lol you read that right! Never leaving this place!”
“4 paws is amazing, wuock, efficient, and caring. They even have opened up slots in minor emergency situations that they can handle. Also become a Thrive member and save on visits.”
“Best clinic in New Mexico!! Most caring staff. From the reception to the vet. They take the best care of your babies. I have 3 doggies that they always make time for and spend time checking on the dogs and making sure I understand what is going on. They have called me the next day and the following week to check on my babies after they care for them. Highly recommend this clinic.”
“I have taken my cats to them for several surgeries and health issues for a few years and really appreciate the level of effort they put in to keep them healthy and ensuring I am informed.”
“Dr. Smith is the kindest person! She and her team are friendly, caring, and respectful of individual concerns regarding costs. They are transparent with fees and offer options for approaching problems/diagnoses/treatments.
Desert Hills also does everything they can to address urgent matters (they are not an emergency clinic but will direct you.)
The clinic itself is spotless, bright, and welcoming. Highly recommend!”
“Dr. Larsen is the best vet I've encountered in New Mexico so far. She is knowledgeable in her profession and truly cares for our pets. I'm glad that my cat Judah and my dog Nala have a caring doctor like her!”

“My dog has an eye growth that came back after cryo removal 18 months ago at a vet in Massachusetts, but he is also very old dog so I wanted to make sure another procedure was the right thing. The vet was incredibly knowledgeable, very kind, communicated well, and really helped me assess my options. We even found things with his eye we did not expect and she presented realistic tests and options for it. My dog is pretty growly and he calmed right down with the vet tech. We have not done the procedure yet but I have no doubt that will also be a positive experience. Also, the reason we have not done the procedure is because they did not pressure me to it, they actually advised waiting to see what happens, which I know is not money in their pocket so I appreciate that I did not have to fight for that option.”
“I took my fur baby here for the first time because our veterinarian after eight years is retiring. Dr. Hall and his staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile. Then taken to treatment room and immediately were treated right on time. I highly recommend them. The medication and shampoo that they Prescribed for my dog, Melo was so helpful after many years of him having skin problems. He looks so much better after just one use. I am so thankful that we found Dr. Hall and his team. I will be taking the rest of my fur babies there. I gave them five stars ⭐️ but they definitely deserve way more!! Thanks again for the wonderful service! ?”
“The staff has been wonderful with my pets. They caught an issue that no other vet did and saved my cat. Dr. Spohn is awesome and i appreciate that she listens and answers my questions even if they are a lot”

I called this office on the verge of tears and the wonderful receptionist was kind and patient, we got In that very same day, my little Pumpkin is doing great! And she LOVES the staff at this office. I’ve also switched my other dogs to this office as well.”

3804 Juan Tabo Blvd NE A, Albuquerque“This is one of the most intelligent and compassionate veteran clinics I have experienced in decades of having multiple dogs and cats. I have been there with a large dog with who needed emergency surgery due to eating some object we never were able to identify and a few months later with a tiny dog who has a long term condition that needs research and maintenance and in both situations the entire staff went above and beyond what I expected. They tasted me and my dogs with compassion and respect at all times. I completely trust them and would not hesitate to encourage my family and friends to do the same with their pets. In today's day and age this veterinary office is rare and I hope our community supports them. I know I will”
“Brought our boy Sherlock (Giant Schnauzer/ Poodle mix) to Animal Acupuncture Westside after a lack of diagnosis or effective treatment via conventional veterinary practices for the weakness and immobility he was experiencing in his hind legs. He couldn’t get up from the floor on his own, often slipped and fell when walking, and would fall down trying to go up stairs. At 8 1/2 years young, there had to be options for my long-time adventure partner. Our regular vet mentioned acupuncture and I thought, “what have we got to lose.” Dr. Schlesinger was very thorough in his initial assessment of Sherlock, and we started seeing him weekly for a few sessions, then every two weeks for acupuncture, the occasional cold laser, and the supplemental Chinese herbs we would add to Sherlock’s food. We didn’t see immediate results, but heeded the expertise of Dr. Schlesinger that every patient responds differently, and that some require a longer period of consistent treatment. So we stuck with it, and I’m so glad we did! After six months of acupuncture, herbs, and some dietary changes, we saw not just results, but phenomenal results! Sherlock can now walk up stairs, no problem, got back enough energy to rough-house with his 3-year old fur brother, and has been doing short hikes with the family. I’m so grateful to Dr. Schlesinger for his expertise and kindness throughout this challenging season! We now maintain Sherlock’s progress with a visit every 3 weeks, and Sherlock loves the focused attention at each session and the cookie at the end! Now at 9 3/4 years young, Sherlock is thriving!”

From the beginning to the end of our appointment the staff were very friendly. The assistant and doctor were understandable, knowledgable, and very helpful, also very sweet and gentle with Lucy. I am so glad I took my fur baby here to get the answers I needed. Highly recommend!”
“Corrales Vet has been great for us to care for our two dogs. Even though they are very busy (most vets are busy these days), they have been able to get us in when one of our dogs needs urgent care.”
