Never go to Blacklock Auto if you need an automobile to be serviced. They are absolutely thieves, charge for service upon service yet they never actually fix anything. I took my pickup in for a diagnostic and fix for a misfire issue with my Ford. Based on the dash light and owner’s manual I knew it was misfiring somewhere. I brought it to Blacklock Auto who was happy to have my business. They called me within a day to inform me of what was causing the misfire and the cost to repair it. I gave the go ahead for them to fix it. They had it for two (2) months before I ever got a call back from them. When I drove home I realized the problem had not been fixed. So I took it back based on my 90 day warranty so they could fix it right. They kept it another three (3) weeks and after two weeks I was calling every day asking about my truck (every day I called during the third week). They finally said I could come get it because it was fixed. The first thing I noticed was that the misfiring problem was still not fixed. Then I realized my AC which had always worked, didn’t anymore. They said I could leave it with them again so they could take a look at it. I would be stupid to leave it there any longer so of course I didn’t. I took my vehicle to the Hamilton Ford dealership in Clovis. They called me within 15 minutes of me dropping it off informing me of the repair and labor costs. I gave them the go ahead to fix it. I received another call about 45 minutes later saying they had fixed my misfire issue. And, the cost was hundreds less than what I paid Blacklock Auto (who has never taken ownership over this). The mechanic even saved the spark plugs and boots he removed (the ones Blacklock charged me for replacing) because he had never seen plugs in worse condition.
Blacklock Auto has Better Business Bureau insignia all over it’s walls when you go in the office. When I contacted the BBB to report all of this I found out that they were not even registered with the BBB. They are not accredited with the BBB so all of that is just for show.
Save yourself some time and go to a professional, not a crook.

Went to black locks with car troubles. Spoke to Ronnie. He had my car back on the rode in no time. Super nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend for best mechanic shop in town.

How could u say that u didn't have the hood to mine and my wifes car when I personally saw u close the hood while waiting for ur employee to move another car out of the way so u can pull it out

Blacklock's is the place. Don't go anywhere else. I was traveling in my van, solo female, engine trouble, flashing check engine light in Texas. Got a ridiculous price and false estimate in Texas. (Don't mess with Texas) This was a very stressful time for me and my little dog. Blacklock's saved me thousands of dollars and time!!!! Very nice people. Patient, understanding and accommodating with exceptional mechanics. My van is purring like a kitten and no check engine light. As a single female I have never been to a better auto shop. I now feel safe to be back on the road again enjoying my travels.

Just got my truck back from Blacklocks. I can definitely say that they go above and beyond to take care of your vehicle. They walked me through the whole process as I was trying to get my old truck back to life after sitting in front of my house for over a year. The truck runs great now as I am getting ready to make my move across the country. Definitely the best auto shop in town! Take care of their troops really good too!

Similar story to some of the other reviews, and I was was thrilled with the service I received at Blacklock's!I was recently in Clovis, just for a stop on a road trip further out West. As I pulled into town on New Years Eve, I started getting oil warning lights in my vehicle that I had just had service done (including an oil change) a few days prior.I was traveling with my dog and young daughter, and we were due to leave early in the morning on January 1st. When I woke up that morning, I started calling around to see if any auto repair shops might happen to be open on New Years day at 8 am. As you might expect, they were not.When I happened to call Blacklock, I was thrilled when someone answered the phone. Not only where they open, but Joel was super friendly and told me to come on by after I explained the situation.We headed over there and Joel immediately got to work. They ran a diagnostic on the car and found that a bunch of warnings were popping up - all things that I thought had been addressed with my service the prior week back in Austin. He noted that the fee for the diagnostic was going to be $150 before doing it, and I told him to go through with it as I didn't really have much of a choice.Another guy came (owner, perhaps?) and they finished up the diagnostic. The theory was that the place that I had worked with in Texas didn't reset the warnings, but that all was well. Checked the oil to confirm and reset the warnings. I was relieved and grateful for the fact that they were open and welcomed me in on New Years Day, but they weren't done yet. When it came time to head out - they told me not to worry about the diagnostic charge... on the house. I was blown away! Gave a healthy tip as a show of gratitude and then we headed back on our way to Santa Fe.I'm not one to go and write reviews for places, but this one absolutely deserved the 5 star shout out. If they treat others anything like how they treated us - a no brainer recommendation from me.Thanks, gents!
