It's hard to run an establishment properly when you have one manager who's a blatant racist towards Natives, One that's always walking around the store drunk and another who covers up the bullying and harassment when other employees are singled out.

This is the second time I have come into the Bloomfield Big R and the older female cashier/manager spoke to me in a rude/high and mighty manner.It may be time for her to take a vacation or hand the reins of customer service over to someone else who enjoys working with people.I have observed this woman being cruel and insensitive to her employees/coworkers and now it is starting to radiate outward on the customers.Please assist this person in having a better attitude and work demeanor.Thank you

May 17 I visited the store to return a pair of gloves, which happened to be the cheapest item on my receipt. Despite having the receipt and the gloves in pristine condition, the store refused to provide a cash refund, which left me feeling frustrated and singled out and dissatisfied with their customer service. Both with Alex I belive her name was, who made the judgment call that I didn't deserve my money, and the older "gentleman" who answered the phone and completely made up his own returnpolicy for big r on the spot to fit the situation.First and foremost, I believe that as a customer the past 3 years I've lived in the area when i pay cash for an item and return it for lack of necessity the same day as purchased i expect to receive a cash refund for any returned item, regardless of its value so long as I fit the criteria. I did. It's understandable that some stores have policies in place to protect themselves against fraudulent returns, but when it comes to low-value items like gloves, I would expect a certain level professionalism.They basically robbed me they got their merchandise and I got a gift card to shop at a place i don't feel comfortable shopping anymore. Wouldn't it have been easier to just stop me at the door and say "hey please leave you are being refused service here"The fact that I had the original receipt (with my name and #)and the gloves that were in the same condition as when I purchased them further highlights the store's lack of honesty By denying me a cash refund, they made it clear that their policies prioritize profit over customer satisfaction or worse that they can judge a person by how they look I guess...and decide upon themselves not to give a man's money back but that the clerk has the authority. That's right, at the Bloomfield store it's actually at the clerks discretion?The the fact that the manager on-duty, the older gentleman who's always behind Sporting Goods counter with glasses and no hair was willing to fabricate his own Big R return policy for the situation and be extremely rude to me even after he admitted that the clerk should have notified him and that I should have gotten my money back shows just who matters and it's not the customer or maybe it's just some customers that matter? I've spent a lot of money here over the past few years.After I informed him that I knew the store policy and had called The Farmington store to see how they would handle the situation the Bloomfield manager actually said to me, " why did you ask me a question you already have the answer to!" I'd caught him and he didn't like it.I strongly believe that good customer service is the backbone of any successful retail establishment. It's disheartening to encounter a store that fails to acknowledge the importance of customer satisfaction, especially for such a minor issue. Still, it's the principle. If a store cannot accommodate customers for a simple return of a low-value item, it raises concerns about their overall commitment to customer service.In conclusion, my experience at Big R in Bloomfield was disappointing, to say the least. Their refusal to provide a cash refund for the cheapest item on my receipt, despite meeting all the necessary criteria, demonstrates a lack of flexibility and customer-centric approach. I was judged by the the store clerk who took it upon herself to decide i wasn't good enough for my hard earned money. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback, urging the store to reevaluate their practices and prioritize customer satisfaction. As a result of this incident, I will be hesitant to return .This is not how lostprevention works

went in to see if there were any new Carhartt merchandise but the staff had nothing better to do but follow me around the store...they were very rude by insinuating I had stolen something also...I think I will stick with the Farmington store...very sad business practices at the Bloomfield store

Bought some wood pellets here to heat my home. They were absolute garbage. And of course no guarantee available for the item! Go figure! they won't even stand behind their own brand of products.

It don't matter if there is a line at the register, if the cashier wants to visit with a coworker about weekend plans the line will wait. And if you ask an employee for help they always act like you are such a burden to them. Go to bigr in Farmington instead. Friendly service there without the holier than thoa attitude.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Store was well stocked and clean. Restrooms were also very clean.
