This place is a joke. The pet policy states “aggressive breeds” such as Dobermans, pit bulls, ETC are restricted. Which really means whichever breed they decide are aggressive, are not allowed. A waste of $50 for an application for the manager to turn you down because you have a boxer and she considers it an aggressive breed. Then she has the staff call you and tell you and when you ask to speak to a manager they have staff call you back and tell you what they said.
Refuse to refund you because “it’s in the application that you can’t have them” though it’s clearly not.

Canyon stone apartments is an amazing place to live, there very friendly the maintenance does a very good job at maintaining the property

Not giving 5 stars, because of the rent hikes. I have dwelled here since 2016. It is a nice place to live with everything you need. Rent keeps going up, it's sad the property owners/company don't offer senior rates for single income persons. I live alone and don't use the pool or gym (can you knock off a couple hundred for this?), I could have paid off a nice RV by now. I like the location, it's close to work for me. Please don't raise the rates upon lease renewals!!! I've seen several neighbors come and go over the years because of the high rent. Give us long term rental folks a break. Other than this, it's clean and safe.

This apartment complex is unique in Artesia and that it is modern, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. Birds, water features, shade trees and flowers make your life pleasant when you live here. Where else can you find a gym, basketball court, playgrounds, multiple covered gas barbecue stations with tables, reserved under cover parking, pool and spa in a convenient gated community in Artesia? The office is clean and well-appointed, and when the pool is working you have a resort-like experience. Hint- occasionally things need to be fixed.
Maintenance is going to be a challenge in an area with difficult soil that causes heaving and incredibly hard water. This complex is no exception, but they try to fight the battles of water leaks and shifting door frames as quickly and as well as they can. Rent prices here are fair, and while you might want the price to stay put forever, increases are going to happen after a few years no matter where you live.

The staff and maintenance are always quick to help when needed or resolve any issues. The grounds are kept up very nicely and my kids love the playground. I think it’s an enjoyable place to live.
