Can’t say enough good things! We were traveling from Utah to Oklahoma when one of our dogs needed to be seen, they took her back as soon as we got there and she was rushed into emergency surgery. The doctors and staff took amazing care of her and answered all of our questions and concerns and were so good about updating us! So thankful we still have our sweet Mocha with us!

Avoid this place at all costs. Unfortunately, places like this overplay the symptoms of your pet. They know most of us are very attached, love our pets, and are willing to do whatever we can, even though most of us can't afford it. They run unnecessary tests, or at least they say they do, just to increase the price. They make it seem like your pet is dying when it's just a simple fix. These people have some severe issues with morals and ethics. Speaking from experience, I do not recommend this place. I don't even know how they sleep at night!
I only gave one star because I had to. If I had a choice, I would have given zero! Do your research for the sake of you and your pets. Have a go-to for emergencies and ensure it is not this place.

Our pitbull got a laceration on her stomach, and I couldn’t believe the amazing care she received from start to finish. Extra thanks to Jocelyne (I believe I got that right) she gave our girl extra lovin for us and it didn’t go unnoticed.

I recently had to say goodbye to my sweet lab Rosie and it was by far, the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I can’t say enough about the compassion and care that the doctors and staff showed us on her last day. I will cherish the memory of her eating chocolate for the first time, just before the procedure, and how much she loved it. Thank you to everyone at this clinic for your kindness and compassion, it meant a lot to us.

They charged us over $700 for them to do an exam, give some medicine and ultimately want us to pay another $250 to do x-rays on my dog who's sick but somehow failed to find the worms coming out of her butt. I don't see how something like that can be missed during an exam for diarrhea and vomiting.

This is not the first time we have had to come out to Roadrunner. We have brought two of our dogs out here for assistance and the first one unfortunately they weren't able to save because of her diabetes and pneumonia. Still, we just recently this weekend had to bring our girl Abigail into the hospital because of her 5 seizures. They took her in immediately, were upfront with everything about pricing, kept us updated with reports, and provided us with options. They kept her overnight and got her stabilized so we could bring her home. They took us in when other hospitals wouldn't, in both my situations. Thank you Roadrunner for all your help and assistance. I would bring my animals here for the best care ever. We can't thank you enough for what you do for our pets. I highly recommend them.

If the person at front doesn’t think your pet is cute enough to be worth helping or is a cat then she will make you sit and listen to her yell about how much caffeine she has drank for the next 7 hours. We saw a lot of people come through and the people upfront were very unprofessional and did not seem qualified to be making the calls for which animal should be seen.

They refused to help my pregnant girl unless I agreed to spay upon bringing her in for help with a puppy who was stuck in the birth canal. Disgusting. Beware of this place.

Everyone there was wonderful - from the front desk receptionists to Dr Freeman, my cat's surgeon. They took great care of my little cat Zoe and did an excellent job communicating with me about what was being done and why. They were up front about costs, which were reasonable given the level of care Zoe needed.
I would definitely recommend them.

Thank you techs and doctors for taking care of my sweet chalupa yesterday. I appreciate all your empathy and thorough accounts and explanations and care towards myself and my sweet chalupa. Today we sent chalupa in the loving arms of Jesus and I just want to thank you for helping me in my Sunday emergency for chalupa and helping with her being loved and comforted. I am forever grateful for each and every one of you. Chalupas mom of 14 years, Lydia Andrea Ayala ?????

1000 dollars later, and you leave with your sick cat and no answers. During my 4 hour wait at this place, I noticed that someone who paid way less money and with an obviously healthier pet get better and faster treatment. The vet even walked this person to her car and stood out in the parking lot, talking to her at length while I'm waiting for my sick pet to be seen. Please do not come to this location on an emergent visit. They're just looking to fleece out of town customers.

I guess my cat not being able to walk on her leg and shaking doesn't count as an emergency. But dogs that come in looking normal are. Waited 5hrs and didn't get to talk to anyone. We just spent 5 hours watching others come, get seen and leave. WAISTED TIME!!!!

Please do not euthanize your animal without a second opinion.
I rushed my dog in because we do not have a 24 hour clinic in Santa Fe. All the staff was nice. However, they wouldn't take him back without paying $180 first, including a guaranteed payment of up to $500. They took my dog back and after an hour or so, I was called into a patient room. There I was giving a page with two estimates, one "low" and one "high". I then was told by the woman, older, heavy set, dyed blonde hair, that they would not start working on my dog until I could pay half of the high amount. I'm sorry, but due to today's economy, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I don't have $4,000 sitting in my bank account. I asked for a few minutes to make some calls. It was almost midnight. I started making calls and this woman came in repeatedly telling me that my dog was worse, that I "needed to make the decision to let him go before he decides himself". That as someone who loves him I shouldn't leave him to make that decision. I was blessed to have the total paid for me. Still, she made one more visit into my room to tell me that he was getting worse and developing a cough and I should put him down. She told me he would need a tracheotomy and several surgeries, as the bite was on his neck. I told her wait, I already paid, you haven't started on him? She said oh you paid, and I said yes. I also told her that I had previously mentioned that he had a cough the night prior but was drinking water, barking, wagging his tail, jumped in the car, and so on after the incident and couldn't understand how he had gotten that much worse. She left the room, came back and said I could say goodnight to him. When they brought him out, nothing had been done. Not even x-rays. Here she was telling me to kill my soul dog, and she didn't even know the extent of the wound or damage.
I got a call from the regular vet, not the critical vet I was told about in the morning. She said my boy was doing excellent and that she had done x-rays and that there was not any air or fluids and he would just need a second night of observations and antibiotics and he could come home. This woman was amazing and I wish I could thank her with everything in the world. Again, the day staff were also amazing. This woman treated my boy like he mattered and wasn't just a dollar sign. I will eternally be grateful.
My boy came home like nothing had ever happened. I am blessed to have him still in my life, and so beyond grateful I didn't listen to the woman that wanted euthanasia because it took me a little while to get money together.
I am writing this review because I want to warn people to please get a second opinion on your animals. I am devastated to think about how many animals have been killed because of this woman. I did report it to staff. I'm sorry I don't have her name with me, but I was a wreck that night. Thank you to the rest of the staff.

My poor dog was a wreck when we had to come in as an emergency yesterday and every single one of the staff that helped us was phenomenal! I cannot recommend this place more if you have a pet emergency
