The staff here definitely favor male veterans, as far as politeness and caring are concerned. With the exception of one senior, female staffer. She is very professional, friendly and helpful with males and females alike and I give her kudos!

I called and explained my situation and how far we are away from this place. I explained my health situation. I was told to come down on Thursday to fill out the housing assistance application. We got there and was told no we don't help you. I wasted 180 in gas that I didn't have to spend. And a entire day.
Founded in 2005, the VIC is the only nonprofit organization in New Mexico that is 100% focused on helping end the growing homeless Veteran crisis in our state. We provided multiple housing options that to immediately end the homeless event and help the Veteran family address those issues that can negatively affect their lives. We work with over 100 service providers in the state, various government agencies, and many proud New Mexicans committed to honoring our Heroes and their service and sacrifice to our great nation. 90% of our donations go directly back into the programs to support our Veteran community, and we have a 78% success rate of continued housing placement 12-months after exiting our programs. All donations are tax-deductible.
