I will forever be grateful for this place. When my child and I arrived here last summer we basically came with just the clothes on backs. They housed us, fed & clothed us, gave us the resources to get back on my feet, and most importantly kept us SAFE! The staff was really nice and helpful. I had the best caseworker and she always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. They help with referrals for different housing programs, and can help set you up with legal aid. They also can help refer you to hundreds of community & social service agencies that can help with just about everything you may need including behavior health counseling etc.
I'm starting to sound like I'm doing an advertisement for this place. ? Fyi...try to ignore some of the negative review comments left on here if you can. I say this because S.A.F.E House is not perfect, no place is for that matter. However if you follow their rules, be respectful, and stick to your program/goals you won't have any problems.

S.A.F.E. House is an amazing resource for survivors of domestic violence! They are a 90-day shelter program that provides all kinds of services- therapy, case management, meals, child services, safety planning, etc- to help residents get back on their feet. As a staff member of 3 years I have seen so many people utilize our services to better their situations and move on to bigger and better things.
Definitely give S.A.F.E. House a call if you are in need of help! You will find that you are not alone in your situation- so many others are going through DV, and our residents tend to find that the community building in shelter is what helps them get through this time. You got this!

Since I have checked in here recently I have been lied about from staff. Managers claim I'm saying passive-aggressive words to them, so they help who they want to help, not who needs help. I recommend to anyone staying here due to domestic violence to record all their conversations while talking to staff and clients. Edit to add I was immediately discharged after I left this review. They towed my car off their property, put my belongings on the street. I had a bicycle that wouldn't fit in my car and they had a friend of theirs take it away within 5 minutes after I left.

I lived there, I know all the staff the the pragnat lady blond she was REALLY rude to me and my child when my child would go to grandmas the pregnant lady said “ it’s so quiet without your son” saying it iconic my child is 3 he was 2 what’s wrong with her she needs help I believe because that’s her job I mean she consider her self staff, there’s a man of color he gave me a wired vibe saying “ your wearing a dress I never seen you with a dress” i thought that was weird dude over here checking me out or why did he notice ? DONT go with daylan “” counselor i believe they talk about the residents bizwax there not professional AT ALL I’ve head in the front office “ ugh here she comes “ while I was being attended by one of the staff, so basically they talk and make fun of you thats how I felt and they have left my sun and I starving while they take the good food when I asked in the office we didn’t get food they said “ oh I’m so sorry iconic other residents can also take your food” it’s all life experience and what I went through when I was there. Oh and if you have a problem it’s best to not say it they’ll go against you basically in short words they don’t care. Oh and don’t be freandly to any residents there I had trouble with one resident I mentioned it to the staff they said “ okay we’ll keep an eye “ NO THEY DONT there was the same resident playing ruff with my child I told them about it again and they didn’t even put a care to it. It’s a blessing to be safe and they do keep you safe

I really enjoyed staying there during my time of need and ended up trusting some of the staff, only to be back stabbed and wrongfully discharged. There was few staff members who really touched my heart. But I never return to this place if my life dependant on it. I was very open to my caseworker about my mental health and how it frightened me at times. She was the reason I was wrongfully discharged and made to look like a monster. I'm very sorry for putting my trust in her and being open about my personal life. Besides my all traumatic events in life they management can care less. I also had an accident on their property. I will looking for a lawyer for wrongful discharge and pain and suffering.

During the period when I was emotionally and physically shattered due to the torment inflicted by my ex-husband, I found solace in this place. I was trapped in a nightmarish existence, unable to extricate myself from his grasp, even though I was all alone in a foreign land. It was on July 3rd, 2021, that I reached out to a Safe house through a friend. The compassion and support I received from their staff were truly remarkable. They not only inquired about my well-being and ensured I was eating properly but also assisted me in obtaining a divorce and securing restraining orders. They became a source of comfort, even engaging in conversations to bring a smile to my face. Their care extended to treating me like family, and the love and warmth they bestowed upon me are indescribable. Thanks to their unwavering assistance, I was able to take steps towards rebuilding my life. They provided me with nourishing meals, and I aspire to one day achieve financial success so that I can contribute to this organization and aid other women who are enduring hardships inflicted by cruel individuals.

Bad place. The staff act like they are better then and they don’t help with anything. I got kicked out because my friend dropped me off in the front and I have a baby. Every staff tells you something different. Not one of them helps with anything

I stayed for less than a week. I was thrown to street after they told me gone in 30 minutes. My crime was my adult daughter who is 25 stay in room while I was unenrolling sisters at old school. The food is horrible and not filling. Had force kids to eat. The floors creak bad was scared was gonna fall through from holes. Not helpful obtaining services like school and housing. It seems they want you to return to abusers. Allows screaming kids all hours but throws people out who work and just need a bit of help to stay away from abuse
