Arie's Dogland LLC
3530 Pan American Fwy NE suite h, AlbuquerqueAries is a wonderful place for puppies! Everyone there genuinely loves and cares for dogs. Arie is a great trainer and we can't recommend her enough. The 6-week puppy training class is top notch and well worth the very reasonable price. We learned so much about how to train our Golden retriever, Sam, and we feel far more confident than we did going in. The puppy play groups are a great opportunity to socialize during the critical window between 2-4 months old, since all the puppies are vetted to be healthy, have stool tests, and are up to date on vaccinations (what one's they can have for their age).
Overall, we love Aries Dogland, our dog LOVES it, and we highly recommend it if you're looking for training, day care, or grooming.

Predator and Prey Exotics
3625 Central Ave NE, AlbuquerqueAmazing store! I can't believe I waited so long to visit. I could only stop by for a short while today, but the knowledge and passion present here is evident. The animals seem very well-cared for and have nice enclosures. The supply selection is small, but very well-priced. The wood in particular was far cheaper than at the other stores I've visited. This is also the only place I've been to that carried Bio Dude products, which is a huge plus. Definitely stop by if you can! It's a small operation, but it's clear how much they care about their animals and the exotics hobby as a whole.

Pet Care
Manzano Animal Clinic
1041 Juan Tabo Blvd NE, AlbuquerqueTLDR: Affordable, easy to schedule, caring staff, efficient, honest, and did not push sales of other services or medications.
I made an appointment with them because they were the only veterinary clinic that could see my dog in under a month.
I was pleasantly surprised by how kind and caring the staff was and the short wait time to be seen. The veterinarian clearly explained what happened to my dog, Patellar luxation, and what I would have to do in the long run about this. Apparently it is common and will happen again.
She did not push surgery, medication, or any other unnecessary medical treatments for my dog. On the contrary she explained that proper vigilance and swift action thereafter would be the best long term treatment. She explained multiple surgeries would cause scare tissue and may be counter productive in terms of treatment.
Now the price was much less than I had imagined. For context at TLC I paid $300 for them to examine my dog when she had the flu. I didn't recieve any medication and was told to feed her baby food. Here they examined my dog explained treatment options and I only paid $65. It would have been 130, but they offered me a half price discount for it being my first visit.
I came to them because I had no other choice. But their treatment, kindness, and honesty made me decide to make them my new go to veterinary clinic for my dogs.

Eye Care for Animals - Albuquerque
8724 Alameda Park Dr NE # C, AlbuquerqueMy dog has an eye growth that came back after cryo removal 18 months ago at a vet in Massachusetts, but he is also very old dog so I wanted to make sure another procedure was the right thing. The vet was incredibly knowledgeable, very kind, communicated well, and really helped me assess my options. We even found things with his eye we did not expect and she presented realistic tests and options for it. My dog is pretty growly and he calmed right down with the vet tech. We have not done the procedure yet but I have no doubt that will also be a positive experience. Also, the reason we have not done the procedure is because they did not pressure me to it, they actually advised waiting to see what happens, which I know is not money in their pocket so I appreciate that I did not have to fight for that option.

Pet Sitting & Training
From Wags To Whiskers-Best Pet Sitter/Dog Walker in Abq
214 Edith Blvd SE, AlbuquerqueTo be clear, due to my cat having a medical emergency we did not end up hiring them in the end, but in speaking to the owner I was very excited to see how knowledgeable and passionate she is about the care of cats. My cat has a urinary condition that requires quick action should he have an episode, and where other less-professional sitters would blindly agree to watch, she made sure to understand every detail of his condition and prepare me should a flareup occur while I was out of town. She was very cautious in warning me of the risk, alerting me that her visits would not necessarily be adequate confirmation of his health, and was very thorough in explaining details of medications and making suggestions even after I ended up canceling.I cannot speak to the quality of the service itself, but I would certainly come here before a petsitting board.

They have been amazing at supporting me through the very difficult training process, they are supporting me through DVR processing, and throughout my journey with training, they have been accommodating and so understanding of my situation. Truly, the validation and support has helped me through a variety of life circumstances over the last six months, AND the progress my dog has made with them is night and day. He is getting ready for tasking, and a board to train to finish his training. His public access has been going really well, and Maria has been amazing working with him on his reactivity. I cannot praise them enough, if you need a dog trained, this is the place to go.

UHC's River Walk Boarding Kennel
9515 2nd St SW, AlbuquerqueWe were so blessed to find River Walk during our 10 day Balloon Fiesta stay in October. Sonia and her team were most accommodating to our early morning schedule. We would drop off our dog at 4am on our way to the field, and pick her up that afternoon after our flights. We felt very safe in leaving her there, with her own kennel and space to run free. The countryside location is lovely, and shady. The animals are well cared for. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming to us. The daycare rate was quite reasonable, especially given our very odd hours. Absolutely recommend River Walk for your pet care needs! Thanks so much! Bobby and Annette Riddle from Kentucky

K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel Albuquerque
4740 Pan American Fwy NE, AlbuquerqueFor the first time I found myself looking for someone to look after my dog Peaches. I have a trip coming up and needed to find someone I could trust to watch over her while I'm away. Normally I'd bring her with me but unfortunately I'm unable bring her with me this time around since I'm flying out. After doing some research on Yelp and reading the great reviews for this place, I decided to take a tour of the facility a few weeks ago. They informed me they require an evaluation session beforehand to determine if they can accept my dog. Today we had our evaluation session. The staff is pretty stellar and very friendly. You can tell they are passionate in what they do and are very knowledgeable. This being Peaches first time ever being in a daycare I was a bit worried but after meeting the staff and handing her off this morning I knew she was in great hands. I felt so relieved after her evaluation today that I have complete confidence that I could trust these guys to take care of my girl and make her feel at home while I'm away on my trip. This facility is top notch. They offer a wide variety of boarding options with even some luxury options to fit your dog's needs. The facility is very clean. Again they have an amazing staff that is very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to bringing Peaches back when I leave for my trip at the end of the month knowing my girl is in great hands. Thanks K9 Resorts! See you soon!

Crème de la Crème
1909 Bellamah Ave NW, AlbuquerqueThis was a pre order cake from Crème de La Crème! I spoke with Armaní a few weeks before the pick up date to place the order. After trying a few of their tarts we wanted to get one for our friends anniversary dinner! They had tried the Seme di Cioccolato a chocolate tart that was rich and elegant! I placed the order and had a friend pick up a little bit later than originally planned. Armani was and accommodating and friendly. Originally we had thought that the crème on top would also be chocolate but I'm not sure if that's supposed to be the case just bring it off the one we had tasted as a mini Seme di Cioccolato . Regardless our friends loved it ! It had some type of nuts in between the tart filling and the creme on top which added texture! The edible flowers are beautiful touch! We are always blown away by the delicious flavors they have at Crème de la Crème
