Happy, healthy, willing horses and unlimited miles of riding along the bosque! Couldn't ask for a better place to ride. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to ride good horses with good people.

Overall experience was tough. We booked in advance for 5 riders and then was asked how heavy we were. 2 of us were bigger guys and were then told it was $70 extra per guy because of weight. Felt like a total scam. Our guide Jessica was great and helped us stay together. My wife got a very skittish horse that nearly threw her. Thankfully she is an experienced rider and stayed on. My horse was slow as molasses and that had to be told constantly to keep going. Overall feel like there are 10 better places that we could go to.

What a wonderful place to go for a horse ride. We were not experienced riders but Cathy gave us the best experience and told us about horses, the sights and always kept us safe. We saw lovely flowers, the Rio Grande, lots of ranches and all sorts of animals all from the saddle of our horses. They treated their horses so kindly and could I am sure accommodate all sorts of riders. Highly recommend going to this ranch for a ride. Gail and Mark from NH.

Carlos took great care of us. We decided last minute to take a ride and he got everything ready for us and got us on the trail without hesitation. Jessica our guide was knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable, being my first time riding. Can’t wait to do it again soon! It was a memorable experience.

This is a great place to stop with your horses! Carlos was entertaining and very handy, going far and beyond helping us with our trailer jack issues! The horses were comfortable, and the pens were well made and safe!

Worth every penny. Carlos put me on a challenging horse, and I appreciated that he trusted me with it. The landscape and trails are incredible. I saw two coyotes, several birds and a prairie dog. Take a ride here, it’s worth it!

I went for a private ride on Dewey this morning accompanied by Erin and Luna! It was the most amazing experience, Dewey was the bestest boy and so well trained & such a smooth ride. My first time on a horse doing more than a walk and I loved every minute!!!After the ride I got to brush Dewey and give him some treats! He is such a sweetheart.Hoping I can come back and go for another ride with him soon.Erin was a great guide, very patient with me and she was friendly and easy to talk to!! All the staff I interacted with was very nice !!

Stopped for the night on my way home from Parker, Colorado heading to Phoenix and the owners were sweet as can be and my big, fit jumpers were happy and comfortable. I slept in my living quarters and it was very quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to stop again!

It was a nice experience. My wife didn’t really feel that comfortable but our guide Morgan was so positive and reinforcing that she would be alright and just to hold me closely. We ended up having a great afternoon. Carlos takes terrific care of the ranch and horses

I think its a well deserved time to put my own review out here! First I want to say that Running horse ranch is the greatest place you can be at! You can lease a horse for a month, go out whenever you want and go out on the trails. First who even does that in ABQ? no one and it's good pricing too and you don't even gotta buy tack, he has tack for you!! 2 hour trail ride for 80 bucks you can't compare with anyone especially when you out in the trails vs a arena for 120$ for 45 min. I consider this barn family and I appreciate all of them. Mr Carlos is a good man and helped me so much be more of a confident rider and actually helped me with getting a first horse as well! They will always have my business no matter what. If I didn't have my own horse I would go back in a heart beat and lease and have fun!! They never disappoint. Horses are well mannered and taken care of. I used to be a trail guide over there so I definitely recommend, they take care of everyone even the little ones.

Fantastic experience today -- took a private group with Jessica, she's informative and looked out for the weaker riders. The horses are well looked after and well fed. Valentine is a chunky old girl... Carlos is a funny dude, anyone taking his jokes too seriously needs to take a walk in the fresh air.

Wonderful ride this morning on a cool and cloudy Sunday in FEB. Carlos runs a very good operation here. Morgan was our guide and she was knowledgeable about the horses and the Bosque. The horses are obviously loved and cared for. Lively and well behaved. We were especially grateful for the time and attention that both Carlos and Morgan paid to our 14 year old first time rider. She had and excellent experience.

My partner and I had a great and flawless experience in booking a trail ride. They couldn't have been more accommodating, pleasant, courteous, and Morgan our guide (also a horse trainer) was fabulous and super knowledgeable. We were complete rookies and my partner is handicap, and they took extra care to make sure she was safe, and they overall treated us like stars!The trail ride itself was awesome, such beautiful countryside.

Hidden Gem! Carlos was able to fit me in last minute for an amazing 2 hour ride. Marianne was our guide, knowledgeable, taught us more advanced techniques during the ride and had thrill of galloping through the Rio Grande River State park. Memorable trip to Albuquerque!
