6961 Taylor Ranch Rd NW D, Albuquerque“I’m so used to buying whatever brands of carne seca they sell at Smith’s that I forgot what it’s supposed to taste like!Just stopped in on a whim and I’m so happy I did. Bags of popcorn and red chile chips are front and center, and bags of jerky line the perimeter of the store. I was initially sad they didn’t have a red and green chile combo, but I bought both and the red is definitely a winner! The bags were reasonably sized and I got a very decent amount for $5 a bag.If you’re in the area (or not), stop by Garrett’s for affordable, fresh, crispy but not brittle, flavorful carne seca! The Mexican soft drinks were reasonably priced, as well. I don’t remember the last time I hadn’t felt price-gouged (probably pre-pandemic), so thank you! ??️?”
“Loyal! I’ve been getting my meat here since I started shopping for myself. Over 40 years oh my! They offer fresh high quality meat. Their ground beef is always fresh not brown in the middle with fresh meat surrounding it like a local farm store in town. They also sell Chile, new crop beans, tortillas, cheese, milk and various other products for posole, menudo or tamales. Another plus is exceptional customer service! No matter how busy they are they never rush you, give you service with a smile and carry out your items to your car! Special shout out to Daryl I hope spelling is correct. He provided outstanding customer service, remembered what I wanted the first time, clarified my order explained the different cuts of meat, was fast, and very nice! I wouldn’t shop anywhere else! Give it a try you will never shop at that farm store again !”
“The best jerky and customer service. The owners go out of their way to inform patrons of their products. They are super friendly and make their customers feel welcome.”
“I buy my jersey from Jerry's market . I'm very picking about Mt jersey I hate the rubber stores sell. But this jersey is bomb green Chilli is my favorite.. my top 3.”
“After much debate, I decided to try a local farmer for ground beef. The stuff that I have gotten in the stores is tasteless but also full of water.I was able to purchase 10 lb of ground beef on Sweet Mercy's website and go pick it up. As soon as I got home I made myself a ground beef red chile burrito and it was delicious! The quality of the meat is amazing and It tastes so good!!!! I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.”
“Hey, I'm from Oklahoma. We have a few head of cattle roaming around here, and we have quite a few very good jerky companies, too. My go to is Jerky By Art-a couple of states over in New Mexico. Awesome, consistent and tasty. Try the red, green and Christmas chili flavors. Love that dried pineapple, too! Just put in my latest order! Enjoy, y'all!”
“They got to start a social media marketing campaign, it is a local family own business everybody love that kind of story. Their beef jerky is really testy, crispy, rich in flavor, just the best jerky every and around. one of the worker over there (jasmine g.) has such big green bright eyes, curly dark hair, it is just the pretties girl I've ever seen (just a prove that the family is doing something right). She should be the model, and face of the brand. wonder if she is single...”
“Came in yesterday and got a 15 lb brisket. The brisket was BEAUTIFUL! But not only was the meat extremely high quality the butchers were too. They were both extremely helpful with trimming my brisket and were knowledgeable about giving me tips and tricks to cook it!”

10700 Menaul Blvd NE Suit D, Albuquerque“If you're a meat lover, the small neighborhood meat market, Al Amanda meat, is an absolute must-visit.
Nestled in a quiet corner of our community, this local family store offers a refreshingly personal shopping experience that the big-box stores simply can't match.”
“Mid-tier by the standards of Hispanic grocery stores in the ABQ area. Maybe I'm just spoiled by El Super up in Atrisco, the prices here seemed high while the selection and quality seemed mediocre. It does beat the nearby Albertsons on some prices, with a few surprises like the cheapest Mexican Coke I have found. Those pink and white coconut treats at the checkout are amazing and nostalgic.”
“I appreciate the employees here, they work hard. The butcher was also so helpful when I needed something done specifically. Much better quality than any of the chain stores. I also feel so much better shopping local.”
“Best butcher shop in New Mexico. They have every concievable cut of beef on the floor. The quality of each cut is top tier in both marbling dry aging. I love how they let you pull entire baskets out from the freezers to get a good look at every steak to find exactly what you want. I'd also like to add that everyone on staff is always very friendly and helpful. Their advice has helped me cook my steaks exactly how i like every time. 10/10”
