I was driving a 2010 Lotus from Dallas to San Francisco and developed a shaking problem in the rear end. I was stuck and desperately looking for help. I called the British car dealer and half a dozen independent shops and everyone said either, "nope, don't work on those" or "sorry, we have no time for X weeks". Finally I called Mickey at Jim's. I explained my situation and, although he was busy with work AND short-staffed, he told me to bring the car by to assess. After putting the car up on a lift he quickly found one of the tires had developed and internal bubble. He called the tire shop for me and got me an appointment. After all that when I asked what I owed him, he said "no charge". I paid him anyway. So, if you want your faith in humanity restored and a friendly and very competent shop, look no further.Services: Steering & suspension repair

This is an odd review. I had some trouble with my Mercedes’ sprinter. I called to see if they had knowledge of how to fix it and the for sure new exactly what was wrong. I spoke with Mickey and he was extremely helpful. Pretty much diagnosed the problem on the phone and then told me to call the dealer. It might be covered by our warranty. He then did all the research and found out it was under warranty and called me to let me know. So we did not use their services but their customer service is unreal and I bet their work is even better. Thank you.

My first time there and certainly not my last! My first encounter with Mickey (the owner) was him kindly asking me if I would like some water, which I took. It really is true that first impressions can make or break an experience! Mickey was super helpful, knowledgeable and tells you the truth! I went in to get an air bag light reset due to me unplugging the front passenger airbag indicator light during a radio "upgrade". He reset the light and very politely told me that putting in a cheap Chinese radio takes away the communication of lots of electronics from one another. He and his employees got the job done quick and at a reasonable price, gave me a firm handshake and I was on my way. When I got home I immediately pulled that junk radio out of my car (which I was already on the border of doing since it was laggy) and put the OEM one back in. Also his assistant Bella I believe was her name, was also very kind and made sure that I had been helped with my issue. The atmosphere of that repair shop just screams peacefulness and trust. It's a shame there's not many places like this left. I'm sure glad I stumbled upon it though. Keep up the great work guys!Service: Check engine light diagnostic

I was in Durango CO on my way home to San Diego when I saw a message on my dashboard indicating a problem with the engine. Looked on line for Mercedes dealers and when I called they all said they couldn't get to it for a few weeks. Then I stumbled on Jim's Fine Cars, called, and Mickey, the owner, answered the phone. Afer I described the problem he said to bring it on in and they'd have a look. This was a few hundred miles out of my way and worth every mile of it. Got there about two o'clock and by 4 the problem was fixed and I was on my way, all for a very reasonable price. Mickey is a very busy man, seemed to have at least 4 conversations going at once, so he doesn't have time for chit chat. He was always pleasant and personable. I had envisioned waiting for parts to be ordered and delivered but he had what I needed in stock and had one of his team get right on the job. In conclusion if this shop were within about 300 miles of my home they would have all my business.

I have a 12 year old Mercedes in excellent condition and low mileage. I won’t take my car to the Mercedes Dealership because I’ve not had good experiences with them on the West and East Coast. Saying that I was looking for someone who I could trust with service and knowledge. I met Mickey at Jim’s and his love of cars and expertise hit the spot. If you have a car you really care about, go see Mickey at Jim’s. When you want the best, start there.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Mickey and his staff are very knowledgeable of high-end European vehicles (as well as other brands). He makes sure the work is done correctly and fully briefs the customer. Mickey has access to many quality suppliers so finding parts is not a problem. ...and it is a pleasure doing business with Mickey. Give Jim's a try
