“Really cute hotel with a little bar right inside. I felt very safe. Super clean rooms. The pool was very nice. Anna made checking in super easy, she was so kind and professional. My only complaint is that the windows don’t open and they don’t have fans so I was very hot all night and had trouble sleeping.”

“Loved this place! We're on a cross-country trip along Route 66 and I've wanted to stay in an R66 iconic hotel but was a bit nervous to do so, being accustomed to certain standards. Well, Monterey Motel did not disappoint! In fact, it was probably nicer than any of the Hilton, Marriott, or IHG chains we've stayed at along the way. Got the family room so we could all have our own space. Room had tiled floors (love that) and comfy beds and was fresh & modern inside. Staff was very friendly and accomodating too. Would definitely stay here again.”

“I have throughly enjoyed my stay here. Walking down the halls and seeing the most friendly faces that always try to make your day especially Nick Roybal, he even offered me something from the pantry for my birthday!”

“A beautiful hotel!!! Loved it!! Bathrooms beautiful just need a little more privacy, bathroom door does not close all the way small gap is visible out in to the room!! Mosquitos were pretty annoying ? even had some in our room! BUT it was a beautiful hotel!! The roof top bar was also a great place had some beers and watched the football game from our phone!! Night view up on top is nice!!!! The Sawmill is across the street that is a HUGE plus!!!

Rooms: Beautiful rooms!! Beds were over soft.

Nearby activities: Sawmill right across the street!! Seen 8 air balloons early morning as we checked out right over us!!

Food & drinks: Food on roof top was great!!!”

“came through this as a stop on a cross country road trip. excellent location right off the highway located near many walkable restaurants and a cute winery. Hotel restaurant was delicious and fresh. Only downside was the dog friendly area needed to be cleaned and dog friendly rooms were on the upper floors making it a bit inconvenient to take dogs out at night. Room had no windows making it hard to see in the dark. area seemed safe surrounding hotel and staff was all pleasant! Would definitely come back again. We’ve been to other hotels in ABQ and this one seemed the safest and cleanest !”

“Everything was very nice...the shower head set up in room 123 is in the center of the shower and makes the space so small and hard to shower...it needs to move to the end of the shower and not the middle...

Food & drinks: The evening food was very good tonight!”

“The hotel is gorgeous. The staff is amazing.
But if you wrestle with body image issues, don't look in the full-length mirrors. They easily add 20-50 pounds. I don't know if it is the glass or the angle of the mirrors, but holy smokes. I know I have enjoyed local breweries and might be a little bloated, but I know I haven't gone from 5'4" and 140 lbs to 5'4" and 200 like the mirrors would suggest.

Rooms: My room was clean and quiet

Safety: I feel completely safe as a single woman in a room by myself

Walkability: It is so easy to access great places downtown-even if you have to do a Lyft or Uber, everything you could want is close by”

“Great rooms and the service was excellent. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was awful was the swimming pool! It was freezing and the hot tub is covered up and no longer usable. My children look forward to the pool and now we will have to find another hotel for our next stays in Albuquerque.”

“I had to stay here for a work conference, so i didn't pay for anything, but if this was a vacation, i would stay and pay and stay here. I dont have any complaints. Service, staff, and breakfast were good. I was not expecting my room to have a full kitchen. Free airport shuttle to/from airport. I saw people complaint about the beds, "I" had no issues- fell asleep quickly. Overall, decent place to stay.”

“Needed extra room for the holidays, had family in town for the New Year decided this was the best location. Great stay. Clean rooms. Attentive staff. Fresh Coffee and Breakfast was well stocked with numerous options. Check in was simple and easy as a Bonvoy members with their keyless option. Plenty of parking and easy access. One elevator and stairs for this 4/floor property but never had anyone ride and delay while using it. Chris..evening staff person, very helpful and accommodating!”

“Honestly, my stay at The Nativo Lodge was one of the absolute best hotel experiences I have ever had (and I travel a lot)! Phenomenal customer service, very clean, the restaurant in the hotel is delicious, the pool has such a cool setup, and the artwork in the rooms/ venue is truly awe inspiring. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars easily!

Rooms: The artwork is incredible and makes for an cultured experience.

Nearby activities: There are tons of activities that are close by. Top Golf, Cliffs Amusement Park, Local Breweries, The International Balloon Fiesta Park is within 5 minutes, and the mountain view is breathtaking.

Food & drinks: Garduños is the restaurant within the hotel and everything on the menu is sensationally delicious! Authentic New Mexican food.”

“We stayed here for the second weekend of the Balloon Fiesta and were very pleased to find it was very close to the Coronado Center park and ride; which was also a pleasant experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a generous size for a family of four. The hotel had plenty of parking and an excellent grab-n-go breakfast for the balloon fiesta at 4:00 AM. We recommend this hotel”

“Cute rooms with balcony. Clean with modern amenities. The architecture and design of the building is fantastic. It can look a little rough around some back corners but don't be fooled!”

“I did a lot of research on hotels in Albuquerque and was sketched out by many reviews. I read that this one was a safer location and was nice. We stayed safe and enjoyed our one night short stay. Our car wasn't broken into. It looked like a safer area. The rooms were nice. The front desk was friendly.

Rooms: Nice, clean rooms.”

“Helpful staff, clean, spacious, well appointed rooms (the only thing missing was a microwave, but there's one next to the ice machine). Great, very central location in a nice and safe part of town. I'll stay here again when I come back through Albuquerque.”

“The owner needs to get new maid services and I think that place would turn around quick, someone who wants to work and who gets up like your supposed to at eleven and dress nice and cares about her appearance. I am just saying those things matter! Especially when your running a business!”

“The husband and wife could come off rude but then I realized that that's just their personality... they were very good to us and didn't bother us... some day we could be back, you'll never know... thank u Motel 76...”

“we were meeting our daughter halfway for an exchange of something. Our SIL recommended your hotel. We do have Marriott points but agreed to try your’s. We have never experienced such a rude front desk person ever!! I told him we were out of body soap & lotion by the bathroom sink & he said you didn’t have that, that you only offered shampoo & conditioner & the shampoo was also body soap-1 blue container & 1 yellow. I told him they were both yellow by the sink-body soap & body lotion. He argued with me & said, “well, do you want the 1 blue & 1 yellow container?!?” Very very rudely!! When my SIL went up to him later to ask again for me his first response was “what!!!” Like it was an imposition to even help him. You are doing your a hotel a dis-service to have someone like that represent your hotel-esp a Hilton!!! I gave only 2 stars for the room bc when we flushed the toilet, it sounded like a train was running through. The positives were how clean everything smelled & the morning breakfast (although the pancake machine was out of service). Not sure we will stay at a Tru hotel again!!”

“Room is clean. They stock full pots, pans, silverware, cups, plates, and bowls. The bar of soap they provide is a nice quality thick chunk of soap that smells nice. They also provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash mounted in the shower itself. The water pressure is heavenly.Staff is friendly.Location is pretty excellent. It’s not located directly on a main strip so you won’t have the constant traffic sound.AC/Heat works well.TVs are good.Beds are a comfortable as far as hotels go. They provide 4 big pillows. Not the small throw style pillows some hotels give.Internet runs well enough to stream without any hiccups. If you get the right side of the hotel the mountains are a nice view.”

“Not really a review just a warning, me and my girlfriend saw a piece of furnite on craigslist the other day at a really good price and was told to come pick up here at this hotel (we thought it was odd but we still went because of the price). When we arrived someone also from craigslist is going back and forth with a curly haired heavy set women and her mom about selling motel property. The guy storms off saying they'll let the hotel know and the girl yelled back they won't believe you I can just delete the post and lie. We just left without interecting with anyone. Not the hotel fault but beware of this hostile familySafety: Just beware of the guests”
