I booked a Luxury 7-passenger vehicle and was told I'd be getting a Lincoln MKC, which only holds 5 passengers, has no third row, and has significantly less cargo space. I explained to the Hertz agent that our entire party and luggage couldn't fit into the Lincoln, and he told me I could upgrade to a Tahoe for additional cost, otherwise I was stuck with the Lincoln. Despite our protests to pay, he wouldn't budge and we ultimately had to pay more for the Tahoe since we couldn't fit into the MKC. I found that ridiculous since Hertz failed to fulfill its obligation to provide my reserved vehicle (luxury 7-passenger vehicle). Hertz's response--pay more or downgrade--is unacceptable, especially since I have President's Circle status, which is supposed to guarantee me an upgrade. Afterwards, I found it impossible to get a Hertz agent on the phone to dispute the "upgrade" charge. I am now attempting to work out the issue via Facebook chat. Regardless of the outcome, I will not rent from Hertz Albuquerque ever again, and would recommend to prospective renters to look elsewhere, regardless of your Hertz status, as its meaningless in their eyes.

Visited twice and was impressed both times with the prompt and friendly service and quality of the cars. Easy/fast pick-up and drop-off. The shuttle to/from the airport was also very convient and fast. Thank you for making this a positive experience!

Reserved a car online, came to pick it up and was told they are out of cars and I am out of luck. You would think a national company would have a website that communicates the inventory status before letting you reserve a car. Disappointing to say the least. I also tried to call several times to confirm my reservation and no one would answer the phone.

Let me start by saying this company can not be bothered to p/u the phone. This company accepted reservation and payment only to turn around and let us know they did not in actuality have said reservation. My family had to quickly search for another vehicle.... I will never use Hertz "service". I will never lety friends and family use Hertz. On that you can guarantee unlike their supposed reservation. Hertz I waggle my finger and regret your existence. I am tired of seeing companies overbook, doctors overbook and a general lack of service.

Multiple bad experiences with this location. The first during balloon Fiesta, the rental shuttle was having issues picking up folks and we got to the counter past midnight. All Hertz staff had left, but all other rental counters were still open. Multiple people were understandably upset. The counter also never picked up the phone.The second was recent with really unhelpful staff at the counter. We had an issue with prepaid reservation. They can't adjust anything at the counter which seems silly, but wouldn't even assist with calling the main number to help. They just pointed at the phone number and that was all they could do. Also, did not answer the phone at this location during multiple attempts because the flights were delayed. I'm pretty sure we will be avoiding hertz for all future bookings during travel.

Several bad experiences with this Hertz location. Most recently yesterday I made a normal reservation online using my Hertz Gold number. My name wasn't on the board and car wasn't available. The attendant eventually found the reservation in the system but couldn't explain what had happened. He said they only had electric cars available, not the car I had reserved.

I reserved a rental vehicle at this location and a week prior, my spouse and I got Covid so I canceled the reservation. The problem is that the credit card I used to reserve the vehicle is no longer valid since I canceled it due to fraudulent activity. Therefore I can’t receive a refund on the same card and the phone number for this location provides no person answering nor a voice mail. I’ve called numerous times with the same results. I’ve searched endlessly for a way to contact this location to explain my situation without any success. Their phone rings endlessly without anyone ever answering and no voice mail. How am I to get a refund under these conditions? I can only hope that management responds to this message. I can’t seem to find any other avenue to resolve this. It seems this car rental service does not want to talk to its customers!

Employee at the "help" desk acted like they were way to important to do their job and I've never been charged more after already have had the car booked for 45 days prior and no it wasn't cuz I rented at the airport

We rented the Chevrolet Malibu through Dollar / Enterprice Rent-A-Care, part of Easy Terra, which is again part of Hertz. Very smart because I would never have rented from Hertz. But the car was great. The disinterested employees have increased. Pick up and return was very simple. The price was fine. In short, we are very satisfied.

Booked a car online six months before my trip (booked in April and arrived in October). When I got there they wouldn't give me the car because my card had expired and changed numbers since I booked it, despite it being paid in full and despite me offering to put another card on file. They said nothing could be done and I had to pay another $700 to get a car. They said they couldn't help me with a refund either and that I'd have to call corporate. That's annoying in itself but here I am in January having called once a week and they keep telling me that my refund is "being processed and should be available within 72 hours." This is so scammy and should be illegal.
