This place is NOT good. Incredibly disappointed. Their “functional fitness” section has old mismatched kettlebells and is incredibly narrow.Their “deadlifting room”. One platform and no room for anything else. The bumper plate sticker-labels are all worn off and you will not know how much each plate weights. The barbells are old and sticky, they have little to no spin. The whole place feels dingy. The pool is out of service. The whole place is chopped up into many small odd rooms.Just a bad overall layout with poor upkeep. Even the guy at the front desk stated, when asked about equipment, “well I don’t know much about fitness…”. I’m sorry, WHAT?! I have no confidence in this location or its staff.

In need of Brad Chavez- GM/ operations manager to contact in reference to an ADA violation and employee harassment. Update- I was contacted and advised that employees should not be cleaning machines while gym members are using them! Seems really an invasion of space and is very uncomfortable. The members will ask for your name over and over if you complain about the gym. They will state that you must be compliant with their demands as well. They update your account and leave notes are well. This gym is run by kids who assume they are in a position of power and are the law enforcement of the gym. I feel very uncomfortable with the staff of this location. The gym is always dirty and full of dirty employees!And to add since everyone is so critical here. Wet floor signs after entering the bathroom were not placed. Hopefully some elderly individual doesn't fall.. he will own this place.

Body Punp classes would be much more enjoyable and competitive with other gyms if the equipment was updated to the Les Mills Smart bars. This it the only location in town that has outdated equipment. Please consider new equipment

despite the welcoming nature of the employees and the gym, i feel like there are some easy fixes that would make the members experience much more enjoyable for some reason the ladies restroom stall doors have the largest gaps between the doors making it a little awkward when passing by... also in the restroom the paper towel dispensers are abnormally high causing water to run down your arms when reaching for a paper towel, and the chances that the dispensers even have paper towels in them is very slim. The last thing is the stretching mats- Everyday when wiping a spot down, the wipe comes up black. It's really gross... which three employees standing at the desk at all times it would be helpful if the mats were sanitary. these are all very easy issues to fix which is why i still recommend

NOT on track with the rest of the defined fitness locations at all.Old, outdated, dirty equipment, gross empty pool with green smelly water at the bottom, sauna smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, bathroom stall doors have about a 2" gap in them.Incredibly disappointed after coming from Rio/Bernalillo/SF

Do not go to the McLeod location if you’re interested in group classes. All of the equipment is outdated and no matter how many times customers complain, the owners refuse to update things. The pool has been shut down for over a month and they have no idea when it’ll be working again. Defined fitness has decided against reopening the steam rooms. Now the sauna is packed.

I’ve never been to a gym that defined so well fitness and metro combined. The club atmosphere ensure that the riff-raff never make it in and ensures that when I’m playing squash I don’t get interrupted by the poors while I’m trying concentrate on my backhand. The gold leaf filtered in the swimming pool really makes my skin glow after I finish my daily routine of watching Paul do 40 laps while I sip on an Irish in the jacuzzi. One of the ways in which they ensure top class members is with how the front desk staff interacts with prospective members using rich language and ensures that the club members never have to interacts with lower class peasants. Favorite sports club outside Europe. Well Done.

It seems that all Defined locations need to work on their wet areas. Every location I go to has some issues with them. Otherwise, a good workout.

Management, please contact me. Employees not showing up on time early morning to open the gym. Lots of frustrated members waiting at the door this morning. It would be understandable if this was a rare occasion, but unfortunately happens way too often.

This location needs MORE funding. The employees and instructors are awesome! However, I've been attending bodypump and have realized throughout the year that this is the ONLY Defined Fitness that still has the old bars and weights! Why!?! I have placed multiple requests through management for the new equipment. All of the other locations in Albuquerque seem to have the new, easy to use, LES MILLS bodypump equipment. I hope someday this location will have the same!
