I worked with Christian on deciding to purchase a snake for my son. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He had a baby corn snake he was obviously very fond of and thought would make a good pet for us. i was bummed the cashiers didn't honor the discount Christian said I would get but it was a difference of a few dollars so I didn't bother. Another young man helped me put everything in the tank and take it to the car was so nice and encouraged me to stop in if we have any problems as he also has snakes. Christian and this young man get five+++ stars. They obviously love sharing what they know.

Wow. I’ve had several terrible experiences trying to get super worms for our bearded dragon at both Clark’s locations in Albuquerque. They seem to always be out of them, and can’t offer a reasonable alternative (either out of all sizes of meal worms or they only have smaller worms in smaller batches so I have to buy a bunch of tubs and waste money and plastic packaging). When I called today and they were once again out of stock I asked why they can’t seem to keep any on hand. “It’s the supplier.” “What’s the issue with the supplier, do you order enough to keep them in stock?” “They bring us what we order and then we run out.” “Why don’t you order more then?” “Sorry, man, you have to call sooner next time.” When I tried to clarify if they really under-ordered and in fact it wasn’t a supplier issue the guy hung up on me. Literally in the middle of a sentence, and I was not yelling or anything. Lots I don’t like about this place but kind of stuck with Petco being the only other option (and their worms are even smaller and unhealthier than the undersized and unhealthy worms sold by Clark’s (when they are actually in stock). Jurassic Pets in Santa Fe is able to keep uniformly large and healthy monster worms in stock so I know it’s possible. Just don’t get up to SF often enough unfortunately for our lizard.Edit: Found the super worms at Petland. Big and healthy worms, plenty in stock (and they say they don’t have problems with running out). Aside from that the store is bright and clean and has lots of cute animals my kids can hold and pet.

I love the store. Staff were great and Led Zepplin played on the speakers. . Prices for some of the dog food was very pricey. Hpwever, I did buy cat food and some canned dog food and treats.I liked the stores vibes.

Every single time I walk in there, there’s always a worker eager to help. But sometimes they can come across as a little mean. The guy in the aquarium section was that guy.

Bugs are good but products are insanely expensive and a whole lot of calcium sand

Not a really helpful culture it seems, but atleast it's overpriced . 3 stars is a nicer review than this place deserves.

I never been to this store at all today it was my first time calling asking about African cichlid fishes the manger respond to me rudely with no respect and hang up on my face!!! So just from a call I knew it they not worth it and they deserve zero. They don’t have any information about fishes or anything close the business open smoke shop better for you.

This is my favorite place. My only complaint is that we don’t have more locations in New Mexico. I have reptiles, cats, dogs, and invertebrates so Clark’s really meets all my needs. This location has the largest reptile selection so I’m pretty much able to find everything that I need. Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable whenever we visit and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I moved to Roswell recently and we don’t really have any exotic options. We honestly drove to ABQ just for the pet stores sometimes lol. Highly recommend. Especially since they take WAY better care of their animals than the big corporations.
