Daniel and his staff are the best people, mechanics and all around good guys you'll find anywhere! I have been going to "By the Book" for over 13 years. We've never had a complaint with the work they perform. I've recommended to many friends and family the shop and they have been loyal customers also. I can't say enough about this place. Daniel makes you feel like a family member whenever we have any work done, and the thing is he is sincere about his caring for his customers. Can't say enough good things about "By the Book".

This company has never failed me. ALWAYS has been honest and straightforward good or bad news. Daniel has serviced our vehicles for about 3 years now. Great feeling of confidence knowing my vehicle is road trip ready and worthy. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

After 2 misdiagnoses from two other area mechanics, my auto repair journey led me to this shop. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Staff was knowledgeable and inclusive with their knowledge, fixed issues the previous mechanics contributed to, and kept me informed throughout the process. The best part was that the price was right.
Is it wrong to say I can't wait for car repairs so I can come back to this place?! My car runs reliably for the first time in weeks so hopefully it's a long while before I troubles again, but should repairs need to be made, I'm returning here without hesitation.

These guys bailed me out of a bad situation. I was traveling through ABQ and my truck died on I-25 last Monday. Other shops were a month out on repairs and said to call By The Book Diesel. I got Brandon on the phone and he said to bring it over, they would get it in for me that evening or the next morning. I got lucky and AAA got to me in 20 min - I know, amazing. We dropped the truck off and they got it in the next morning, diagnosed it and got the new pump ordered. I had them do expedited shipping - which really wasn’t expensive at all. The pump came in Wednesday mid morning and they had my truck back together that afternoon by 4:00. Brandon kept me in the loop on everything. Everyone I met was upright and friendly. I can’t say enough good about this shop. I have been a mechanic myself for close to 35 years and was amazed at how well set up and clean their shop is.
You can’t go wrong with these guys!

I'm so happy with the major work that I had done. One ton dodge dually needed some loving. By the book installed a whole new rear axles and several items in the engine compartment. My first test drive was 917 miles pulling a trailer the truck performed flawlessly.

Brandon and the team at By the Book Diesal are professional and experienced.After being turned away from Mercedes Benz of Albq. W my 2010 sprinter…….(After 40 years of owning Mercedes, it was the worst experience w a Mercedes Benz dealership ever.)…..Brandon, Dallas and the rest of the the team had me going with little or no problem.If you have a sprinter, you know how hard it is to find techs other than the shlops at MBZ of ALBQ. DO NOT believe the dealership for the required service times. Experienced techs at By the Book (like Dallas) will tell you that this van needs more attention than the dealer claims.Let By the Book service/repair your sprinter, and you will have a much better experience, pay less and have better techs working on your van.Thanks again guys.
