The only grocery store I’ll shop at in Albuquerque is Albertsons Market.

Cynthia (cashier) and Jonathan (restocking shelves) were just wonderful to me. They helped me find items and went above and beyond to help me get all the coupons/deals. I like them and am sending a BIG thank you from someone with Glaucoma that has difficulty sometimes. They rock - your website does NOT (slow as molasses)!

Let them eat Dog Food! Dog food kept in the freezer section next to popcicles. I complained to Albertsons management a week ago. Went back today and they still have dog food in the freezer section. I guess they think your food doesn't require safety precautions.

All employees in the pharmacy are courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this pharmacy. The pharmacist always take time to answer any questions and are extremely helpful.

This location is about 40 years old, and it shows. The parking lot is hard to maneuver due to all the other stores located in the strip mall. There's no easy way to exit the strip mall if you're going south on Coors and forced to go out the north entrance and then turn south on Coors. Not a big deal but it would be nice if there's a way to go south on Coors or east on Montano. As mentioned, the ambience of this place is not very nice. The store smells like raw meat. The floors are old and stained. It's been this way for decades. It's not my favorite place to shop at but it is convenient which is the only reason I shop there. Their staff is not the friendliest, especially in the butcher department. I have stood at the deli counter for minutes waiting for service before someone decides to help me. The front of the store is a little congested as it's too small as people are exiting the cashiers with the service department located right across the aisle. The self checkout area is also very compact. I have found their prices to be comparable, but some of the quality of food and products are not the best. The produce department is decent, which is the only saving grace of this place. If you're looking for a nicer Albertsons supermarket, I recommend the location on Paseo Del Norte and Holly.

Pharmacist was a jerk, called to ask a simple question regarding a medication. I communicated clearly and concisely he then minimalized my situation and hung up.

Rex is the best pharmacist in Albuquerque. After a horrible experience with Walgreens, Rex helped to get my son's prescription filled. He not only waited on hold for HOURS with Walgreens to get the prescription transferred, but then he called me several times to update me. Not once did I have to wait on hold, he actually answered every time I called. He is kind, caring and did what he said he was going to do. This kind of service is hard to find these days and should be celebrated.

Having shopped this location for 4r0 years and have never had the experience like today before. The venders were putting products on the shelves , using large carts, they were rude. and got in the way of shoppers in every aisle. What happened to that service being done at night and the items in the Tuesday flyer are ready for the customers on Wed. Many items I had planned to purchase had to leave with out - I couldn't get close enough to the items to put them in my cart. The cashiers don't even say hello, the never ask if I would like help /carry out to the car. Is this the kind of "service" to expect ?? Obviously there is new management at the store - I'm very disappointed and do not like the way the store is being run.

We live close by and this has been our go-to store--until today. I went to the "courtesy" counter--and I use that term loosely--to play my lottery tickets. I handed the lady 2 pre-filled lottery tickets. I knew the total would come to $72 and instead she said it was $84. I inspected the tickets and instead of giving her 2 Powerball tickets, I gave her one PB and 1 Mega Millions, which was totally my fault. I didn't want the MM ticket, which totaled $36. Unfortunately, there is no provision to void tickets so I had to explain the story to 3 different people that all I wanted was the PB ticket. The manager made it sound like Albertsons eating a $36 ticket would bring the whole operation to an end. I was in the US Navy and have been all around this country and never in my life have I seen such terrible customer service than I have in ABQ. You can see that from other reviews around this dump of a town. I don't think the phrase "The customer is always right" has made its way to ABQ. As an aside, My wife recently had lunch at a local Mexican place and the waitress wrote down her order incorrectly and was arguing with my wife that it was my wife's fault! Also, what's the deal with the parking lot in Albertsons and frankly in the whole town? Do any New Mexicans travel to other states to see how normal people live? The parking lot is uneven and there are these large fissures all over. To someone with a low sportscar like me, I feel every bump. I never had these experiences in Nevada or Florida. ABQ is a Democrat hellhole and I can't wait to move back East to Florida.I will skip the "courtesy" desk from now on. You just don't argue with a customer like that over a petty thing.

What an amazing pharmacy from a person actually answering your phone calls and a exceptional in person experience. Rex, the pharmacist is not only highly capable of handling your issues but goes above and beyond with patience, understanding and completion of your prescription needs with a smile offering any and all help. What a truly wonderful place to shop and take care of your needs.

Typically a fine experience as grocery stores go. However, today the young woman taking groceries from our cart was too busy chatting with the sacker to pay attention to what she was supposed to be doing. I watched her abuse of my expensive produce for a couple of minutes until she had nearly made guacamole of my avocados trying over and over to yank the bag through a too small opening between a case of bottled water and the "wall" of the cart which, by the way, she dropped down there! I finally asked her to please not squash my avocados. She told me to stop disrespecting her, that nobody is squashing the avocados, I'm the customer but she is a "paid employee" which was, apparently, more important than my status as a customer, etc. and it digressed from there. The cashier was asking her to stop but she just kept on. I asked to speak to a manager, which I did, and the manager did call her over. I don't know what was said to the young woman but at the very least she returned humiliated and deflated.I don't often confront or cause a scene so I felt very upset and frustrated with the whole scenario. My husband said it doesn't do any good to say anything because this is just the way of our workforce and businesses are stuck with hiring people of this caliber...lazy, smart-mouthed, incompetent, vacuous, non-contributors...sad!
