We made the mistake of signing up with ACT when we purchased our home since the previous owners had an established relationship with them. First and foremost they bind you in a 3 year contract and you have to pay out the contract in order to cancel service. We have been disappointed by the service that ACT provides once an alarm goes off. We have worked with several alarm companies in different cities but have never seen such a poor and protracted response time when the alarm goes off. There has also been the occasional time when they did not call us for almost 30 minutes. When our alarm has tripped and they have called many times they don't even ask for the password before canceling the alarm. I certainly have felt no sense of security having them as our alarm company. I would not recommend them at all.
