Bottom line: This business participates in Unfair or Deceptive Trade practice under New Mexico Law.
Was in the dealership in Nov 2023 to get an oil change for my 2500 Ram, and while I was there I asked about changing the fuel filters, knowing it would be due next year. I was quoted about $175, which wasn't too bad, so I figured I would go to the dealership when the time came.
In Aug 24, it was time to change the fuel filter. I dropped off the vehicle the night before, so it would already be there for my 8AM appointment time. At 3:13 PM, I finally got a call from the dealership, not saying that my vehicle was ready, but to call. I did, and spent 15 minutes on hold (with no answer) before hanging up. The next day, I called again and spent 30 minutes on hold before the call routed back to the switchboard, who said they would message them and I would get a call back. I gave up waiting and got a ride to pick up my truck. After another 15 minutes of waiting while 3 employees were just sitting, I finally got my invoice. $500+. I never approved anything near that amount, nor would I.
This is deceptive business practice as defined under New Mexico law, which requires a quote for work above $100, with approval required for deviations of 10% or $50 above the quoted amount (NMAC 12.2.6.10). Do not allow these crooks to service your vehicle.

Makes recommendations and I always think that what he’s telling me is true and he’s trying to help me. He keeps me informed so that when they moved back to the new place, I knew that.
