GO TO PAW-IN-HAND!! Not only is this place impossible to get an appointment with but Dr. Hays reputation for killing dogs is nothing to smile at either. The people at the desk constantly trying to scam you into buying more unnecessary stuff, horrible phone etiquette, and just overall rude staff is something you should never have to deal with when you already have a struggling pet. Paw in hand will see you as soon as possible, reach out to you about the progress of your animals and just overall goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. They saved my elderly cat Roxy’s life for a more than reasonable price and I’m so grateful for them.

Button Brand is amazing. Harvey and I went in there thinking he would need an X-ray but Dr Hays was professional and kind explaining what was going on with Harvey. Most importantly, I was floored when the young lady with Dr Hays got on the floor with Harvey who is normally anti people, and began petting him. He didn’t growl or carry on like he normally would and just sat there and took the love and attention she was giving him. Best visit ever!!!

Such a wonderful staff, so caring and compassionate! I had to put my beloved Smokey to sleep, one of the hardest decisions to have to make. They were so caring and knew the pain I felt. They did not give me a hard time about this decision and want to prolong his life that was filled with much pain. This is the part I am most grateful to them for! Thank you all for going above and beyond during what is already a difficult time.

Took out dogs in and Dr all he did was do a parvo and another test which it all came back negative. Was prescribed antibiotic and for what if he didn't know what my dog's had. First off all he was hateful didn't exam the dogs just looked at said they should be fine. We get back to Tularosa the female dog died on the way back. The make dog I had to bring back to Texas to my vet and he was tested with shots and he is doing better. We were told the DR in Alamogordo didn't know what he is was doing. He just wanted our money. Which you would think a bill of 1,000 would of taken care of the animal. No I would not recommend him to any one. That is why most people have changed to another DR.

We just moved here a few weeks ago from Houston. My oldest 15 yo and youngest 1 and 1/2 yo dogs were very sick, on deaths door. I called 10 different vets in the area and up to 90 miles away and no one would see my babies. I called Dr Hays at Button Brand and they got us in immediately! Dr. Hays and his staff were absolutely AMAZING, Kind, Friendly, and truly cared! I was skeptical because of all the negative reviews but THESE Reviews are FALSE! I couldn’t be happier with the level of service we received! The price was amazing! A great deal less expensive than what I’m used too! This clinic really cares about each and every person and animal that comes in. My dogs were provided the care and meds they needed and are doing much better this morning. They saved my precious babies lives! Thank you Dr. Hayes and your amazing warm and friendly staff! See you in a few weeks for the follow up!

STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS VET!!!!!We rescued a puppy from the Alamogordo shelter and paid for the spay and some of the vaccinations up front. The vet rescheduled our appointmentment for one week later. When we showed up, the young woman behind the desk was pretty rude. Our puppy had a spot on her back that we wanted to have checked out. She said it would be $85 for the visit, and they'd let us know what they found. We went back in to pick her up in the afternoon and were charged $440+ for a surgery that was already paid for. They found that our baby has ringworm, and the same young woman actually laughed. While we were there, a woman on a fixed income was there to pick up her animal and was quoted a price considerably higher than she had brought in payment with her. The same young woman at the front desk was SO rude to this poor woman I was mortified.Customer service obviously is of no concern for this business. We just paid a fortune for services and were not even allowed to speak with or even meet our vet.I can't and won't support a company that cares so little about their customers and their patients. You shouldn't either!!!

I used to think it was a good place. Had a VERY HORRIBLE experience with my Yorkie. Dr Hayes decided to 'save' her after a vicious attack; however, a month later, I had to have her put down. $1700 later I SERIOUSLY recommend Paw-N-Hand!!!!

If I could give no stars I would. I've tried to get ahold of this place for months after I received a bill for a dog I didn't own and never agreed to pay for. For months I've been told someone would call me back. Today I got a call from collections saying I owe it. I'm trying to buy a house and they've likely messed that up for me. The worst part is, the dog I actually DID take and agree to pay for was paid in full in two weeks. This is so unprofessional and ethically wrong I cannot begin to describe it. I will be seeking legal advice for the damage it has done to me and my chances of purchasing a home, not to mention the anxiety it has caused me. Do yourself a favor and find an HONEST vet for your fur babies.

I went to take my dog in for teeth cleaning and the place smelled awful. This was at 8:30 this morning. I also never received any instructions to prepare for surgery. My concern was food and drink fasting. I went on the internet because I was never told anything. The cleaning is going cost me between 500 and 1000 dollars.

Stay away from this place! Went in for ear mites told me that it was fleas which it's not because black things are falling out of my cat's ears. They were out of the ear Mite medicine that they normally carry and said they would mail it to me when it became available since I live in Las Cruces. Now I'm told two weeks later with my cat and dog you're still scratching and no resolution I paid $350 and the problem is still here. They told me to come up and pick up a prescription but they would charge me $50 for it even though they should have had it in stock. Bad unethical business.

Bad vet...killed my dog, by not returning calls, doesn't return phone calls in emergency. Reputation in this area for this vet, really bad and now high prices..not worth the risk. Everyone I speak to cringes with I mention Button Brand...has family and lots of in fighting...
