I must also add that this is the worst vet in town. He killed my lab a few years ago, as he didn't know what was wrong from the office visit. When calling him the next day over and over and over as she was dying and bleeding out the nose, he never called. I hate this vet and feel sorry for anyone that brings their dog there. There is a lot of family working there, a lot of in fighting so no one gets fired and he is very rude and charges for things that you did not agree on ahead of time. A neighbors son worked at Button Brand and saw he used out dated rabies vaccinations. They are very secretative.

GO TO PAW-IN-HAND!! Not only is this place impossible to get an appointment with but Dr. Hays reputation for killing dogs is nothing to smile at either. The people at the desk constantly trying to scam you into buying more unnecessary stuff, horrible phone etiquette, and just overall rude staff is something you should never have to deal with when you already have a struggling pet. Paw in hand will see you as soon as possible, reach out to you about the progress of your animals and just overall goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. They saved my elderly cat Roxy’s life for a more than reasonable price and I’m so grateful for them.

Button Brand is amazing. Harvey and I went in there thinking he would need an X-ray but Dr Hays was professional and kind explaining what was going on with Harvey. Most importantly, I was floored when the young lady with Dr Hays got on the floor with Harvey who is normally anti people, and began petting him. He didn’t growl or carry on like he normally would and just sat there and took the love and attention she was giving him. Best visit ever!!!

Such a wonderful staff, so caring and compassionate! I had to put my beloved Smokey to sleep, one of the hardest decisions to have to make. They were so caring and knew the pain I felt. They did not give me a hard time about this decision and want to prolong his life that was filled with much pain. This is the part I am most grateful to them for! Thank you all for going above and beyond during what is already a difficult time.

Took out dogs in and Dr all he did was do a parvo and another test which it all came back negative. Was prescribed antibiotic and for what if he didn't know what my dog's had. First off all he was hateful didn't exam the dogs just looked at said they should be fine. We get back to Tularosa the female dog died on the way back. The make dog I had to bring back to Texas to my vet and he was tested with shots and he is doing better. We were told the DR in Alamogordo didn't know what he is was doing. He just wanted our money. Which you would think a bill of 1,000 would of taken care of the animal. No I would not recommend him to any one. That is why most people have changed to another DR.

I brought in an older cat that was slobbering and I suspected he had teeth problems. Supposedly, after a cursory review of the cat's mouth he took all of his teeth out except for the front fangs and charged me $1,200.00. Dr. Hays did not fix the slobbering problem. Six months later, the toothless cat is still slobbering. I've since taken the cat to another vet and after a $110.00 bill, she said he had an infection in his mouth.

We just moved here a few weeks ago from Houston. My oldest 15 yo and youngest 1 and 1/2 yo dogs were very sick, on deaths door. I called 10 different vets in the area and up to 90 miles away and no one would see my babies. I called Dr Hays at Button Brand and they got us in immediately! Dr. Hays and his staff were absolutely AMAZING, Kind, Friendly, and truly cared! I was skeptical because of all the negative reviews but THESE Reviews are FALSE! I couldn’t be happier with the level of service we received! The price was amazing! A great deal less expensive than what I’m used too! This clinic really cares about each and every person and animal that comes in. My dogs were provided the care and meds they needed and are doing much better this morning. They saved my precious babies lives! Thank you Dr. Hayes and your amazing warm and friendly staff! See you in a few weeks for the follow up!

STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS VET!!!!!We rescued a puppy from the Alamogordo shelter and paid for the spay and some of the vaccinations up front. The vet rescheduled our appointmentment for one week later. When we showed up, the young woman behind the desk was pretty rude. Our puppy had a spot on her back that we wanted to have checked out. She said it would be $85 for the visit, and they'd let us know what they found. We went back in to pick her up in the afternoon and were charged $440+ for a surgery that was already paid for. They found that our baby has ringworm, and the same young woman actually laughed. While we were there, a woman on a fixed income was there to pick up her animal and was quoted a price considerably higher than she had brought in payment with her. The same young woman at the front desk was SO rude to this poor woman I was mortified.Customer service obviously is of no concern for this business. We just paid a fortune for services and were not even allowed to speak with or even meet our vet.I can't and won't support a company that cares so little about their customers and their patients. You shouldn't either!!!

My fur baby had a cyst on her neck rapidly growing. Her vet did two biopsies and couldn't tell us what it was and wouldn't touch it to remove it but wanted to send us to a surgeon in El Paso that wanted a $400 consultation fee not including any biopsies, surgery, etc. we called Button Brand and he was able to find it was lymphoma cancer. He said he would do his best to remove it but warned us it was risky and he may not be able to remove it all because of location. Again he did tell me it was risky to do. He removed it but told me he couldn't get it all because of location and if it came back he wouldn't try the surgery again. I respect Dr. Hayes being straight forward and preparing us for the inevitable and not just doing surgery again irresponsibility and taking our money. He may not tell you things you want to hear but he has taken care of my girl and given her an additional year with us she wouldn't have had otherwise. If you want an honest straight forward vet that will tell you how it is and prepare you for what may be coming I recommend Dr. Hayes. When we decide we are ready for another fur baby I will definitely be coming back to him for my babies care.

When we lived in town we brought our dogs to this vet (moved Jan 2016 out of state). We were in town visiting family when our 17 year old fur baby suddenly took a turn for the worst. No one in town or cloud croft could help us out. We called Button Brand and they said they could get us in as an emergency patient which was fine because the end was near for our dog. We didn't want her to suffer so we decided to put her to sleep. The staff was respectful and thoughtful especially seeing that my wife was a mess. This place may not be the most fanciest but they are considerate of the animal and owners. Yes, having dogs costs money but getting them taken care of is most important to us and they helped us out in a time of need. Thank you Button Brand.

I used to think it was a good place. Had a VERY HORRIBLE experience with my Yorkie. Dr Hayes decided to 'save' her after a vicious attack; however, a month later, I had to have her put down. $1700 later I SERIOUSLY recommend Paw-N-Hand!!!!
