Must see historical and cultural experience. The infrastructure is great to get up to the Pueblo and accessible for all ages. The Pueblo was amazing with great views, historical relics, and plenty of friendly tribal members to greet you and sell pottery and other souvenirs in front of the rooms or the Pueblo. High praise for our guide Turtle. He was very informative, genuinely passionate about his job, and a genuinely good person as well. The only gripe I have is the “cafe” it’s more of a sitting simulator, the food was mediocre at best, and the cook was doing something that wasn’t cooking because it took an hour to get a quesadilla. It was also cold. This place is a great site for any person and it’s a must see on my list any day. Just eat somewhere else until they get the kinks worked out. Also please have the utmost respect to the residents and guides and follow their rules as it’s not just a roadside attraction, it’s a community and someone’s home.

This was an amazing experience. Starting from the cultural center and museum to the tour of the actual Acoma Pueblo. Our tour guide was amazing and very informative about the history of her tribal ancestry. I just want to thank her again for being a very gracious host. We bought some beautiful hand made jewelry and the woman who sold it to us also invited us to their September feast. We can't wait to make our way back there again.

It's almost for sure that this special place is not on most people's Radar as they are flying by on I-40, but for those who do not take the time to visit here, they have now Idea what they are missing. This place is not only special but very unique. There is a good bit of history to see here. BTW, Brandon was an excellent host when my wife and I ran into him.

$27/person and worth every penny. Our tour guide (Jeremy) was wonderful and answered all our questions about the history/culture of the sight. Very informative. A fascinating place

Review is not based on seeing the attraction. We tried to make a reservation online for a tour, which their website had suggested. (I can see they have removed that now.) We didn’t hear back from them after about 2 months, we called, and they said that they don’t take reservation but are first come first serve for the tours. Since we were driving from NJ and didn’t want to miss this, we showed up this past Saturday morning a few minutes before 9 am (official opening time), we waited until 9:25 am and still no one was there, even if they are supposed to open at 9 am? We met a security guard at a small building close to visitor center who didn’t know why no one was there. Since we didn’t know if they were going to open at all (and neither did the security guard) and we didn’t have all day to wait, so we left very disappointed.

We visited on a cold, windy, rainy day. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This out of the way place is worth visiting.

This was an incredible experience! Jeremy, our tour guide, was so knowledgable and answered every question that got asked. The tour itself is a short walk through the pueblo where you can see original dwellings and buildings. Please be respectful! If you are asked not to film or photograph something, please respect that…especially the people. Be kind and enjoy this glimpse into Acoma life!

Don’t miss the kind ladies selling their handmade pottery and jewelry. We had the amazing opportunity to have conversations with them as we purchased our authentic Acoma pottery. They taught us so much about their culture and craft. The cultural center and tour were great and informative. We are so thankful to Jeremy, the guide, for a great narration despite having a sore throat! Good from the cafeteria was great! Will definitely visit again if in the area.

Those who wish to visit the city itself must check in at the cultural center, where you can get on a tour. I didn’t know this in advance, so when we got there we had to wait for a while for the next tour. You could check their schedule on the center’s website, though it doesn’t seem like you can order tickets in advance on the website itself? It’s a cool tour regardless. It’s a beautiful place and please be respectful of rules.

Do not leave a penny to this community. They kicked me out of the area, yelling at me, threatening to arrest me…What did I do? Just continue driving through a road without any sign or notification to be private, like 20 meter beyond a fictitious point where it starts to be private to the native town residents, given their fictitious laws (yes, I read the real ones).Exact words: “You don’t belong to this road!!! I will arrest you, do you want to get arrested? Get out of here now!!”Just disgusting. Those people just do not deserve what they have.

Definitely worth a visit. Amazing place. Brandon was excellent as our guide. The visit from the cultural center to Acoma mesa was not the full one because of safety concerns. The sky was threatening and it did unload not long after we got back.I have to mention the café. Best frybread ever.

Beware!! The website says they are open Weds-Sun. We got here Weds morning and the sign outside the entrance says they are only open Fri-Sun. I called the number and the answering machine message says they are open Thurs-Sun. We spoke to the security people and they said this happens all the time. Very frustrating, especially as it would be totally avoidable if the information on their website was correct. There were other people here as well, equally confused.
