Do not work with this company - the customer service is atrocious. The movers damaged my house and despite over four calls where I was promised, “someone will call me back,” I received no call. We are military service members, this is my roughly 18th move and I’ve never dealt with such unprofessional movers (at the customer service level). The movers, themselves (most of them) worked hard but there was a member of the team who was unhelpful and nonproductive. It is disappointing how much the damage in my house was handled so flippantly, the driver really didn’t care, just wanted me to sign the paperwork, and there’s no movement to assist in reconciling this issue.

They came on time, and they completed the moving in schedule. They packed, labed, and downloaded by rooms, and they reinstalled and asall the large furniture in each room. Amazing job!

There were some rough patches, but the moving spec came in and the storage spec also fell into place. The movers worked hard to finish on time.A good value.

Since almost every other bad review the CO states they cannot locate the contract # I am openly posting my contract # - BGAC0594480Absolutory abysmal! If you have a choice do not use this moving company, If you are military and you see this CO on your paperwork, go back to Transpo and request a new CO ASAP. AA was a subcontractor for our government TSP Cartwright. I am finally able to post this because after 8 months we are complete with our almost $40k in damages. It has been a living nightmare caused by this COs unprofessional and completely incompetent movers (supposedly the best crew that frequents West point and a placating manager (Scott) who was told to come to our site for the last 3 days of our move because the crew was so bad.Initial coordination was good, until the week prior when we were told we would not have our first day packing because the crew was their best and frequently packed 10K sq'ft houses in two days...absolute lies!I will just cover the highlights because there is so much I could cover.1. Day 1 (should have been our day 2), Crew didn't arrive until 2:30pm, and didn't have the address. The Ft. Hamilton QC agent had to chase them down outside the gate and bring them back. They stayed until 6:30pm - only 4 hours!2. They begin packing the upper floor and just dump tubs into boxes, Kids toys, art, toiletries all mixed. No packing paper, no padding. Stuff rolls down the stairs because they are so quickly dumping our property.3. Day 2, (original day 3), crew showed up at 12:30, stayed until 6:30pm. Same crap, start packing our art and family pictures - no padding, 10-15 per box - Resulted in thousands of $$ in damage to the frames. They drop a $4000 craft cabinet on its face, destroying half of it.4. Day 3 (original our load day, but because of their poor work ethic (only worked 10 hours during our two load days)) turned into the last pack day. Crew still showed up late, 11am and was required to have a manager with them because of multiple DOD QC agent complaints. This day they destroyed our dining table, deconstructing the base, ripping in apart at the dowels and continued to pack as haphazardly as possible.5. Day 4 (load day 2), show time 10:30, This day we were not supposed to be in the house, AA caused us to bust our load day and extend on our lease with housing, We had to get a hotel because we stayed longer than we projected, that allowed our two large dogs. As they were loading the crew cause multiple damages to the banisters and original hardwood floors (over 115 years old). Both of which required inconvenience claims and real property claims to our TSP.6. Last, because the packers could not bust a second load date, mandate by the contracting TSP, they did not leave our house until 9pm that night, My wife and I were there, cleaning the house until 1pm and we found multiple items the pack crew hid from us because they didn't want to pack. This forced us to rework our Uhaul trailer (to move the property we never allow to be moved by movers) to accommodate this added property.7. Because of poor packing in the semi trailer, all our property could not be fit in the semi-trailer so they scheduled a budget rental box truck for overflow and then it was not allowed on base, so they had to coordinate for a new driver. The property was to be taken to their warehouse and then driven to our new destination in convoy with the semi. This did not happen and the box truck showed up 2 days early, no notice and we had to jump through hoops to get it unloaded.8. Two days later the main trailer was delivered and as we unpacked we found that virtually no packing material was used, no care given and multiple things were missing. We found the AA packing and loading crew staged broken furniture in a way that it would collapse upon unpacking, endangering the unloading crew.We have been in the military for over 16 years and moved 12 times, this is the absolute worst move experience we have have had in our careers. If you see this company on you move paperwork, RUN as fast as you can.

AA American Moving was a great experience. Her is why - They were in constant contact with me from the time I reached out and asked for a quote through the post move. They coordinated with me prior to move day, they contacted me when they were on their way. I was a bit late on arrival and they were patient and did not charge me. They continually asked to verify items to be moved and were well organized with the move process. Nothing was damaged and on the move in they were very organized on quick but careful placement and moving of delicate items. Overall great experience and would highly recommend them for your move.

This company should lose its government contract. The way they treat their service members and their families is utterly disgraceful. They picked up part of our household goods shipment on June 19 and proceeded to drive it to multiple delivery destinations across the country over the course of a month poorly and unprofessionally packed, resulting in severe damage to many items. It was not revealed to us until delivery on July 12 that only part of the shipment was being delivered. The driver claimed this was told to superiors at the warehouse, yet we were not notified and the person we called at the company claimed to not know that all goods were not on the truck. It has now been two weeks and the company refuses to provide a date for when the rest of the items will even be picked up from the warehouse by another driver, let alone give an estimated delivery date of the rest of the goods. They didn’t even deliver complete furniture- pieces of beds with no hardware, a bicycle with no front tire when it was indeed attached at pickup, etc. - and the damage to the items we have received thus far is well into the thousands of dollars (3 knobs snapped off a washing machine, damage to a Pottery Barn bed, a marble pedestal with imbedded fossils cracked into 3 pieces just to name a few of the big ticket items). At this point after weeks of no information I believe they have lost the rest of the shipment and it will never be delivered. DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY.

Everything about AA American moving and storage was flawless. From the moment the movies arrived to the moment after they left the second home that we moved our furniture into, it was nothing short of a pleasure. The skill set and professionalism that the men had were second to none, truly such a blessing because of how stressful moves can be. They made it as seamless as possible and for that I am so appreciative and will forever use them moving forward. If ever we have any more moves. I would also highly recommend them to anyone who wants to move their furniture. The experience was so wonderful that they even issued me a $166 refund because they realize that they did not stay as long as they thought they would. Thank you so much guys!

Move was stressful which started with discussions around quotes not in good faith. The team Dropped my live edge table which followed with just outright denying the incident when it happened in front of me.Called the office to enquire about insurance who gave the run around of will do it afterwards which never happened. While i don’t really care about the damage so much but the overall the experience was stressful, combative at times uneasy/awkward. Attaching some photos of the damage to the table… There were plenty minor incidents throughout the move…. Would not recommend.

Honestly, do yourself a favor and move on to the next quote you received. If I could give them 0 stars for my last experience I would. I used this company in November (it’s April as I write this) and had the absolute worst experience possible.I signed my agreement with Ashley, she was seemingly lovely and told me my monitors, tv, etc would be wrapped and boxed (emphasis on boxed). When the movers came the day of I can’t even tell you how awful it was! They didn’t protect my couch they threw the cushions in the back of the truck not wrapped in plastic or anything (I guess cleanliness isn’t a concern for them). They did not box anything, they threw a blanket over my TVs and my computer monitor for my home office and threw it on the truck sitting on top of one of my tables. Instead of disassembling the bed which they were supposed to do, they decided to try to take it in one piece (out of what I can only assume is sheer laziness) when They bent my bed frame as a result I tried speaking to the lead mover who was a piece of work. I have never in my life felt so belittled, he was condescending and rude. At one point he handed me my lamp shade and said “here you take this so it doesn’t get damaged” (the previous movers I’ve used boxed that same lamp shade when they moved me - I would have used them they were lovely if they were available that day but sadly they weren’t - check out Mahwah movers they were amazing!). Honestly, I just wanted the whole experience to end. I was estimated at $400-500 and paid $756.During the move I was so upset I called and emailed Ashley to tell her all the awful things that were being done to my personal belongings. She listened but couldn’t offer much help.I submitted a claim for a cracked computer monitor and for my queen size storage bed and only heard back today (about 4.5 months later) that they would settle my claim for $125 for the bed and $20 for the monitor. They claimed they use some standard I tried to make the point that my estimate service list said the weight of the bed was 455 and the monitor was 55 or something like that and my understanding of the documents I signed was $1 per pound she said not based on the estimated weight based on some arbitrary system and I said well when someone is signing a document it is based on the information provided them and that their documents didn’t state it was on a system.Long story short I can’t even replace the bed or monitor they broke for the $145 they are saying my claim is worth and I wish I never used this moving company. I didn’t even list ALL of the problems because I didn’t want this to get too long! STAY AWAY and thank me later.

I did make an unfavorable review questing my bill. I did finally get a response and was told why the credit card bill was more than what was on my invoice. The answer was simple and don't know why someone couldn't have just told me that when I first questioned it. Either way I am satisfied with the results. Debbie Robles

I have used this mover twice and both experiences were great. The people in the office that help set up the move as well as the movers themselves were friendly and helpful. Movers work fast and are attentive to making sure things arent damaged.

I moved on January 20,2022from Montvale N J to North Brunswick,NJ I had almost everything boxed & taped down with the exception of Furniture. I was downsizing so I only moved my bedroom set, living room,sofa,2 end tables. 2 lamps &a coffee table,2 bookcases (1 small),5 (not large) cabinets pictures (most boxed also a small desk. There was no dining room or kitchen. The movers arrived at 10:00am & proceeded to retape with an excessive amount of packing tape. This took an extremely & unnecessary amount of time. To make a long story short: they finally had me moved and finished at my new apartment at 10:00pm. My final bill came to $3160.28John asked me if I could give him $160.00 in cash which I did ( it nothing to do is a tip, which I gave separately) the bill was put on a charge which cleared. However when I received my bill it was for $3286.38. I have call repeatedly to try to get an answer and have been given one excuse after another with no answers. To say I’m completely disgusted with this company & the way I have been treated. I feel I have been very patient waiting for answers. As a woman who was almost the top I feel I was completely taken advantage of, and would not recommend AAA Movers! Debra Robles
