Dealing with Competition BMW Smithtown has been the most stressful and unfortunate experience I have ever had. The dealership has my vehicle for over 1 mth and I still have not gotten my vehicle back from them. They claimed to fix the issue and after going several times to the location to get the vehicle after being told it was ready for pickup only to discover that the issue still exist. My vehicle is only 4 yrs old with approx. 25K miles - a 2020 X3 30i. Apparently there is no quality check being done or no one checks the technicians work to ensure that work is done correctly. BMW has to understand that people lives are at stake when someone gets behind the wheel of a vehicle. In my opinion there is lack of knowledge and professionalism at this dealership. No proper follow-up with customers, etc. My numerous requests for return call from the General Manager has gone unanswered. The service manager at the location was all talks and no action. All my previous vehicles I had gotten from BMW Oyster Bay location and I must say I am disappointed that BMW closed that location and kept Smithtown open.
If I could have given this dealership a zero star I would have!!

BMW is terrible, I will never purchase another one , and customer relations at BMW N.A isn’t any help , it’s like they know when the car will break . They try not to honor any class actions lawsuits, they don’t honor if your vehicle is experiencing the same issues, same model , same year , they say it has to be the particular vin number, meaning being produced in a particular plant , well it could just be the part they use in every plant . BMW is ridiculous. NEVER PURCHASE ONE

BMW lost its spirits. Everything is for money now. My BMW has paint peeled off on hood, they used to cover for paint for 12 years, unlimited mileage, now, if you don't buy all those warranty, BMW is just cheap quality with fake luxury. Better buy Hyundai, makes better and the most importantly, they listen very good.

I received my dream car. The BMW I5 M60 in January of this year 2024. On February 19th the car shut down on me in the middle of the road with my 20 month old son in the car. Since it’s electric there’s no neutral position to put the car in. I was just stuck in a very hazardous situation. Road side assistance took 4hrs to get the car. The car has been a the bayside dealership in NY for repairs ever since this happened on the 19th of February. They cannot figure out the issue. I call the I team department and spoke to my case manager Lincoln who can only say he doesn’t have answers and he’s waiting on other departments. 2 months and he’s waiting on answers. He’s says there’s no timeframe for a resolution. I’m stuck paying $1350 monthly plus insurance for a car that I cannot drive because it cannot be fixed. BMW response to this is terrible. The customer service is terrible. My case manager Lincoln told me when they get to it they get to it and that’s when I will get an update.

Still waiting to hear a call back. I had an issue with a BMW dealership in Lynnwood. I’m a business owner out of Seattle. I was getting my car worked on one week and got into a loaner. I accidentally left product that was for my store in the loaner. I immediately called the service advisor to let them know and he assured me that they would hang onto them until I could get in there so of course no rush. I waited till I was able to get back in that area and pick up my product which was worth about $700. I show up two weeks later and the manager told me that they decided to throw away my product. And that they gave me a 24 hour time limit to pick it up over the phone which was never done and I’m pretty sure anybody in the right mind that $700 worth of product for their small business if given 24 hours they would’ve gone down there same day right? Well no blatant lie. I never got an email a verbal 24 hour notice over the phone. Nothing they assured me they would hang onto it till I got down there to throw my product away and tell me too bad so sad. they didn’t even give me a call to tell me they were about to throw away my product which they had all my contact information to do so royally screwing me over. As a company, you should do what you say you’re gonna do and not create lies to cover your own back. I want something done about this BMW.

I have a long journey with Park Ave, NJ BMW, and i would like to share my experience with the people who is thinking to work with them.
I thought BMW was a giant auto company and it was my dream to own one of their 7 class cars.
I am working as a chauffeur in a limo company and i wanted to buy an i7 to work with. Also at the time, TLC was giving free plates to electric car owners and also BMW had 10k discount if i buy the car under my company’s name.
On October 23, we start negotiating and they asked me to put 35k for down payment. I didn’t have that much money and I had some loans and provided money to them and we had the deal. They told me that the car was gonna ship from Germany and it will take around 2-3 weeks.
Do you know how long did it take to arrive? 4 months!
During this period they just spent my time with their lies. In this time i also missed the chance to have a free TLC plate because the car arrived too late. Also they couldn’t register the car under my company so i couldn’t get 10k discount!
During the time, the limo company that i worked for, keep asking me about when i am gonna start working, because i told them it was gonna be sooner. Because “the giant BMW” employees told me that.
But it is not finished yet. It’s been 6 whole months that i ordered the car but i still don’t have a registration and title! It’s ridiculous! Because of this, the limo company didn’t want to hire me anymore and i lost my job.
I am asking the Finance Manager Rodney and sales person Craig about my registration and title but all i hear is lies! I don’t think they don’t know what they are doing and they are not even responding me anymore.
So it’s been 6 months, i started paying car’s payments, insurance but i still couldn’t have a valid temporary plate!
Having a BMW was my dream but this will be my first and last BMW in my life.
I am suggesting you to stay out of Park Ave BMW, if you insist to have a BMW, just go to another branch because this people will just waste your time with their lies.

I have been having an issue with my BMW. I had contacted BMW of North America, and after several calls/emails some help has been provided. My issue was not a common one, but it did cause me some major inconvenience.
024. The problem ended up being a blown motor - car had only 80K miles on it and was maintained properly. I understand things happen, but BMW did nothing to help out with a repair. Well, I will never own another BMW again - a great driving machine also needs to be reliable. Note - the people from BMW North America were great, it is the (lack of) support from BMW Motor Company that I am giving the 1 star to.

We have a BMW 2019 X7. We recently had a problem with the SOS calling 911. It was scary as our son was driving it and we received the call from the police. Thank goodness he was ok and he took in to be checked. They determined it was water intrusion from the rain in the Shark Fin. Who knew? Well now we do. It is definitely a manufacturing issue and it is not covered under any warranty. We paid over 3,000 dollars for repair. Never again will I have a BMW .Why would they put something that can’t get wet on the roof with the possibility of rain?I have never once taken it through a car wash. Buyer beware! It happens across the whole line..

ZERO STARS :After the convertible top leaked flooding the amp and sound module for the second time in less than two years,I reached out to corporate for an assist. This is my 3rd BMW and I thought that would count for something, but BMW refuses to address this major defect. My vehicle has been at the dealership for 3 weeks while BMW works to avoid fixing the problem.Ultimately disgusted and will be trading this thing in elsewhere ASAP

I used to work for bmw for the last 10 years. Never thought I’d ever write a negative review about the brand but here we go. From corporate down to the dealership level I’ve been failed with no logical recourse to go.
I accepted a position with a different franchise and my commute is 110 miles round trip. I was extremely passionate about the electric cars bmw offers and got one for myself. The coord that comes with my car no longer works. i brought my car into dealership 1 (not going to badmouth individual dealers) and they said inorder for me to get a new cord they would have to test my cord and prove to bmw that its not working. they didnt have a way to test my cord because they dont have the outlet set up at the dealership. i waited months and they never got it set up.
i went back to my old dealership where as an employee i had to pay sticker for the car and was told that the cord is on back order. up to 4 weeks to wait for the cord. i asked for a loaner cord and they said they couldnt give me a loaner cord because it would sideline one of their loaner cars. i asked for a loaner car and was declined as well. my only way of functioning for the next month is utilizing public charging.
electrify america stations are hit or miss. i have to get up at 6:30 am to be to work on time. i usually leave work at 9 pm. now for the next 3 and a half hours im driving home looling for available charging stations. most of the network is not working and the ones that are have a line out the door. ive been getting home at 1 am. falling asleep behind the wheel regularly. ive started looking into a gas car rental because im exhausted.
i call bmw north america and get sent to their electric team and they told me the only way i can get a new charging cord is if i buy a new electric car. they only have cords available for cars for sale. they had zero interest in trying to help me even when i offered solutions. asked them to install a wall box instead of "compensation" after i eventually get my cord. its going to be minimal at best and ive been public charging for 4 months now.
they said they cant do anything for me. they cant intervene with dealerships because they are privately owned. they just care about the next sale and not keeping their current customers happy. this is my 7th bmw and probably will be my last. if this was a gas car it would be taken a lot more seriously but since its electric im being thrown wayside while im suffering day to day just to get to work.
you would think with all the commercials they are running about electric cars they would have inventory for the most crucial part of the car (the charging cable) to ensure customer satisfaction, to eliminate range anxiety for customers thinking of going electric. I used to be the biggest advocate of electric cars by bmw and now i need to warn you all. you will not get any help if your car cannot charge. bmw clearly hasn't given the dealerships the tools to be able to maintain an electric customer. the dealerships don't care about a cord warranty claim. its small dollars for them and they wont do the right thing by you with a loaner car. don't buy electric from bmw unless you want to be tortured by the lack of help on every level.

Title: Extremely Disappointed with BMW Customer Service
I recently had the displeasure of dealing with BMW’s customer service, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite raising a valid concern regarding the quality of the tires on my BMW vehicle, the response was not only dismissive but also reflected a complete lack of empathy.
Throughout the process, it became evident that BMW cares more about closing files than addressing genuine customer concerns. The final offer of a meager $400 off a new set of tires felt like a slap in the face, considering the premium price tag associated with their vehicles.
What’s more baffling is the false advertising surrounding their tire and wheel package. Despite investing in this supposed added protection, the response to wear and tear on tires with a mere 19,000 miles was shockingly indifferent.
It’s disheartening to realize that as a BMW customer, I am merely a number to them. The way they handled my issue makes it clear that the concept of customer satisfaction is nothing more than a marketing gimmick for BMW.
I had hoped for a resolution that reflected the luxury brand image they project, but instead, I was met with frustration and disappointment. Based on this appalling customer service experience, I’ve made the decision to steer clear of BMW in the future and explore alternatives that genuinely value their customers.
Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a luxury brand that prioritizes customer satisfaction over profit margins. BMW’s customer service is a letdown, and their handling of my concerns has left a lasting negative impression.
