This review is for the one on St. George Ave.Their pharmacy has the worst staff, they don't seem to know what they are doing. Had problems with prescriptions in past then I took my son to get Covid test done waited over an hour in drive thru then they tried to tell me the pharmacist was going to go to lunch. I came ten min early so I did what I was supposed to be do to be seen on time, how could they be so slow there was only 4 cars in front of me most of them there picking up their prescriptions !!!! Went to the Rahway Walgreens with my daughter I was there only ten min for her test.

Very poor service. I called a Saturday to make an appointment for my elderly parents for vaccination shots. The tech who answered the phone, stated no need to make an appoint and I can just wanted-in. I insisted on making an appointment, the tech kept saying I just walk-in. I walked on Wednesday with my parents, the story changed - now I need an appointment and the store manager is of no help. VERY POOR customer service. TECHS do know what they are doing.

When I went very recently to have a prescription filled, the 2 amateurish employees behind counter dealing with me did not seem very capable. One was actually showing the other one what to do at the register, and that one was NO help to me whatsoever, when I had a few questions.. When I returned a half hour later, as told to pick up the prescription, it appeared that same employee had no idea who I was, after spending at least 20 minutes with me initially, figuring out what she needed to do to get things rolling, only half an hour ago. I guess good help is hard to find, but I found this whole experience extremely unpleasant, and would have really liked someone who had a clue what they were doing behind the pharmacy counter.

Made an appointment for my brother to get his vaccine but he lost his ID recently. They told us he could not get his vaccine without it when state law says you can't be refused for not having an ID.

Walgreen's pharmacy is part of a large chain of stores. I, myself, frequent the Walgreen's on the corner of St. George and Avenel Street in Colonia. Even though it's part of a large chain. I feel as though my treatment from the staff is exactly like I remember my late mother receiving from the small independent drug store she used. The staff is always welcoming and helpful when I cannot locate the item that I went to purchase. The pharmacy seldomly doesn't have the medication I need. I seldom wait more than 1 day for my prescription. And when it comes to the pharmacist. There are not enough words to describe her phenomenal work ethic.

I want to make this clear...This no reflection on the store or the regular pharmacist Mahnaz K. This is based on my experience today,10/6/18 at approx. 9:30am, with a pharmacist I have never met in the 9 years I have been going there. To explain briefly, I have a chronic pain disorder called severe peripheral neuropathy, and I take 2 different pain meds daily, and have for more than a year. As I was waiting for one of them to be processed, I got the text alert that my order was ready, and I patiently waited for my name to be called. I then was called up by the pharmacist for basically a consult. She said to me that the other pain script(that I was not filling today) had just been filled on 9/24/18, and she was going to have to call my doctor on Monday to speak to her. Now, I need to say ahead of time, I am a patient in a pain management group, and not only are they strict with opioids because of new NJ laws, but it is also because of their own personal strict rules. Each opioid script is printed out and has the specific date it can be filled on it. I tried to explain to this pharmacist that I have taken this medication and the other pain medication for over a year, and to please review my history. I also said to her more than once that I understood I was not a customer she had ever met before, and I could understand her hesitation. After a few minutes, she reviewed my whole history, and even when I explained to her that I knew how to take both of these pain medications daily (one is every 6 hours and one is only twice a day), she quite loudly said "you take both of these every day?". Now, if you were someone who just reviewed my history, that was not something I should have needed to point out, but what was the need for saying it so the other people waiting in line could hear it? It was definatly was bordering on some HIPPA infractions. I tried to let that slide. She proceed to bring me to the register. I thanked her again for seeing that there wasn't a problem, and as I said this, she gave me half of an eye roll. It was not something that could have been missed or misunderstood. I then tried to almost lighten up this short conversation, making a statement that I had wished the $35 copay was less, but it was better than what I had seen was the full price (over $1200 a month each). No comment from her accept "please enter your phone number". She did not look me in the eyes once since she approved my medication, there was no "have a nice day" or even a "thank you". I am sorry my explanation was rather long. I'm writing this email now because I went back and forth all day on whether to say anything at all. I needed to explain it all so that you might understand that not only did she come across as rude, but her words and her actions, honestly, made me feel like I did something wrong, like I was some drug addict off the street trying to "pull a fast one" on her. I left the store not only angry, but feeling very bad about myself and questioning my choice in a doctor for giving me these medications. I know filling some prescriptions is up to the pharmacists discretion, but the reactions I recieved were uncalled for. It almost felt like she was trying to be my doctor (except my doctor does not judge me). Like I don't feel bad enough as it is with the progressive disease I have been battling since April of 2017, now I need to question the treatment that has been mapped out specifically for me. After thinking a lot about this all day, I still am not sure what I was hoping was going to be done about this. I do know she needs to be informed that this was not the way to treat a customer. I don't know if her reaction was a result of me possibly "proving her wrong' with her initially feeling the need to call my doctor. It is just unclear at this time. I do know that from this point on, if the regular pharmacist ( Mahnaz K.) is not working or the other "floating" pharmacists that I have come to know are not on duty, I will wait to fill my medicati
