I took my Subaru Forester in for service because I thought I needed new brakes and there was a problem with my front axles. They looked at my car for 25 minutes and give me a estimate of over $2600 for axles and brakes. I called my local garage and they said they can do the work for much cheaper. The estimate included a long list of repairs I should do for a grand total of $5200. It was crazy! I tell the man at the service desk I won't be using them and they still charge me $199 plus tax for JUST LOOKING AT IT! For 25 minutes! I ask if I can get the suggested oil change there (which I didn't need right now) and they said the $199 can only go against the brake and axle repair. Peter at the desk was a nice guy, but I will NEVER go back there again. Over $200 gone in 25 minutes for NO WORK DONE.

Jason and his crew are always a pleasure. The vehicle(2017 Forester) however has had various issues thru the years some covered by recalls others thru warranty as well as various out of pocket expenses . These situations involve time that I would spend doing other things.The point is I’m a little disappointed with quality and wear and tear performance. Don’t understand why they don’t have hybrids. I would like to be able to confidently purchase a new Forester as I thought I always could but I am a little anxious.

The service manager Jason Isidoro is a pleasure to work with. Always helpful, even when there's something wrong with my Subaru. My Forester is an integral part of my work day, so if there's an issue with it, I'm in trouble! The service technicians are skilled and fast, and with Jason running the show at the front desk, the service is seamless. Very happy that I went with this dealership to purchase my vehicle versus one that was closer to my house.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME… Bill manager lied to me over the phone… he said he will honor the price found on truecar. When I came in they lied to me again. told me I was ineligible for a rebate and gave me a way higher price than what truecar had. I went to another dealer and got the same car same Msrp same rebate with them instead… turns out Richard Lucas just wanted to pocket the rebate for themselves! Very untrustworthy not doing business with them ever again.

I was alone and far from home when my 10-year-old Subaru had a serious transmission problem on the Garden State Parkway. I drove to the nearest dealership, Richard Lucas Subaru, and explained my situation to Ryan, who was very helpful and empathetic. He explained all the possible outcomes for my problem and gave me a brand new loaner car so I could drive home. Ryan, always kind and concerned, phoned me often to keep me posted. In a few days, when my car was expertly repaired, I spoke to Greg, a manager. I told him how grateful I was that they were able to accommodate my repair and loan me a new car, even though I was not a regular customer. Greg said, “You are part of the Subaru family.” That says it all. I give my highest recommendation to Richard Lucas Subaru!

Great experience. I was passing through on a long road trip when my oil light came on. I showed up at the service area early in the morning. They worked to fit me in to their busy morning. Kind and helpful.

Ryan was excellent, the explanatory of details for my sisters 19 Forester Sport was impeccable. I was given a loaner vehicle with ease an not just any loaner vehicle, the beautiful Forester Wilderness edition. By having that done my decision is clear once my Tahoe is paid off I will be buying the Forester Wilderness Edition. Excellent Excellent Service, had many other vehicles an the Service was Top Notch. I'd recommend this Dealership to anyone.

I took my Subaru for a maintenance service, for the first time with Richard Lucas and the man who helped me (Peter) was very friendly. I am Peruvian and my English is not good, but Peter and the rest of the staff did everything possible so that communication was not an obstacle, I really value that detail. Maybe the time the service lasted was a little long, but everything else was fine. I will return whenever my car needs it.

I brought my car in for a “Check Engine” indicator and they discovered that I had a bad oxygen sensor. No cost to me because it was an emissions issue that is covered under a state agreement. Service was quick and professional!

Very friendly and professional group of employees that work at the service center at Richard Lucas Subaru in Woodbridge, NJ. They give a honest accessment of the work needed and any future work that will need to be done to your car. They are not thieves like other dealers I have dealt with where I live in Staten Island, NY. I highly recommend Richard Lucas Subaru.

Loved my experience at Richard Lucas Subaru! Was looking to get back into a Forester after a recent accident - my 2017 Forester absolutely protected me during the accident and it kept me as safe as possible. (SUBARU FOR LIFE). I wound up here because they had a lot of inventory on the lot (versus in transit). Saturday afternoon, about two hours or so before closing time. My sales associate, John P. was very patient - he answered all my questions, showed me all my options (which I didn't know I had) and got me into the Forester of my dreams! It was a no-pressure experience, which I appreciated. And trust me, no question was too small or unimportant. John was AMAZING. Jack, the finance manager was very thorough in explaining everything as well, and made things pretty easy. And I can't forget Bill, who showed me how to work the new gadgets in the new Forester (I was going from a 2017 to a 2023) - he was friendly and knowledgeable too. I never felt rushed, and I actually felt like they were excited for me! All in all, it was an excellent experience, and I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fair deal on a Subaru, from a dealership that cares about its customers and the Subaru brand.Thank you, John and the team at Richard Lucas Subaru!

On Aug 19 I drove for 4hrs and half to this dealer to see a 2020 Subaru Ascent Touring. When I came, I found that the car had a big dent on the roof, a noticeable scratch on the rear driver side door, some missing items inside... Their photos posted on Autrotrader did not show that. If they had posted accurate photos about the car, I would not have lost 4hrs and half of my time.
