I came to Richard Lucas Subaru for service because of a check engine light. The service advsior was much more concerned with convincing me that I needed hundreds of dollars worth of "overdue regular maintenance," rather than explaining the cause of the check engine light and the price to fix it. He was not straightforward, and frankly it felt like this dealership was just looking for any feasible opportunity to make money off of my car.
I had another issue regarding price transparency. The service advisor kept explaining that he'd discount a half hour's worth of labor from my total, although struggled to explain how this discount was being applied.
The entire reason that I bring my car to Subaru dealerships for servicing is because I've always found them to be reliable and honest. Unfortunately, that was not at all my experience here. I would not recommend coming to this dealership if you don't know much about cars and cannot tell yourself which "issues" you ACTUALLY need the service team to address.

Refreshingly honest sales team.
The buying process was great. We were looking at a fairly uncommon vehicle, yet the sales rep that helped us was so knowledgeable about it that you'd assume he daily-drove the thing.
The full Carfax was presented to us and the vehicle was in great condition.
They were transparent about price from the start, no pressure, and even knocked a bit off sticker for us. At no time did we feel the push or pressure other dealerships applied. It felt like we were speaking with businessmen and not the typical used car dealer.
We put a deposit down for a car - and then a few days later we had to back out (due to circumstances on our end). The same team was incredibly courteous and understanding and quickly worked to get our deposit back to us. Not a hint of attitude or anything.
Richard Lucas Subaru is bunch of honest people running an honest business - not much more to say. Would recommend taking the drive out to speak with them.

I hardly ever do google reviews but felt I had to write one because I could not have had a better experience. I had gotten estimates from other dealerships for the same exact car and they gave me a great deal, they did not price gouge like some of the other estimates I received. It was a pleasure dealing with John Pujois, Bill Powell and the rest of the staff when I went there who were so professional and accommodating. I highly recommend them.

Even though we didn't end up buying a pre-owned Subaru for our daughter here. John was great! He was very nice and really helped us with everything in our search. I will definitely recommend him as your sales guy. Subarus are good, dependable, awd vehicles.

I originally met with John Pujols in March of 2024 to get some information on a Forester. He was very patient and not pushy with me. When I came back a week later he unfortunately was on vacation but then I met with another gentleman by the name of Reinaldo Modernel and he was just as accommodating and all around great to deal with. Then when I went to pick up my car the next day I also met with Bill Powell who walked me through all the buttons in the interior. All around a great experience with this dealership. Would highly recommend.

Thank you Subaru Service Department, especially Peter, for repairing my Ascent AC and treating me like VIP royalty. Peter, you are the epitome of professionalism and you reflect positive on the Subaru family. Your team is the best of the best and I can't thank you enough for not only finding the silly refrigerant sensor causing heat instead of AC to blow, but repairing it so quickly. My family and I appreciate you and sincerely thank you for your expert customer service!!

No other subaru dealership I will ever go to! The guys at richard lucas are fair, meticulous, timely, communicative, and all around a pleasure to deal with. Whether I'm upgrading my lease or just getting an oil change, I've never seen a car dealership run so smoothly, a large part to their management staff. I'm in and out so fast every time, they let me know what's going on every step of the way, and lay out pricing options so my bill is never a surprise. Loyal to these guys for all future cars, thank you for changing the stereotype of purchasing an automobile!

I recently purchased a new Outback at this location. My salesperson was John Pujols. He was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. This was my first new car and was nervous about such a big purchase. He really put me at ease and I am so excited with my new car. I highly recommend him at Richard Lucas.
