AVOID THIS PLACE. THEY ARE RUDE AND UNORGANIZED. MISPLACED MY ORIGINAL WATCH BANDS AND CHANGED MY WATCHES BANDS WITHOUT PERMISSION. SCRATCHED MY DIAL OF ANOTHER WATCH I HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED IN. DO NOT SHOW EVERY CUSTOMER THE SAME RESPECT AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PRACTICE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HANDLE WATCHES CARELESSLY. LOST MY BUSINESS. RUINED MY ORIGINAL LEATHER BANDS OF MY WATCH.

By far the absolute best jeweler in the state of New Jersey. I have known Barry for a very long time, more than 25 years. His entire staff are the most welcoming people, knowledgeable, helpful and cheerful all the time. Have purchased many pieces from his store through the years. He made my engagement a day to remember forever (that was 10 years ago) now he is adding to our story. My family and friends have also gone to Fords and feel the same way. Beautiful store, beautiful people, gorgeous merchandise. We cannot say enough about Ford's. You want to be treated like family shop at Fords. Shout out to Diane, I adore you not only do I have the perfect engagement ring thanks to your patience with me but now I have the perfect wedding band as well.

Barry and his staff are outstanding. Bought our wedding/engagement rings 23 years ago. Wife recently needed resizing, reasonably priced and the jeweler did an outstanding job.

I wasn't going to write a review but I feel I really should , to warn people of this Jewelry store! I would NEVER shop and NEVER EVER have any jewelry repaired at Fords Jewelers!! I brought my tennis bracelet to get fixed in the summer, they told me that it was stretched and that I should make it smaller and have a ring made from the diamonds they removed... showed me pictures, I picked the ring.... But when I went to pick up the bracelet and ring, the diamonds in the ring were much smaller than what was in my bracelet!! I brought it to their attention and they were saying it that it was my diamonds and it just looks smaller, I told them they were wrong, I brought it to the original place I purchased the bracelet from and I was correct, they were not my diamonds!! Two sales people and Barry ( the owner) were trying to tell me I was wrong..... but after I had it looked at by original place I bought it, Barry calls me on a Sunday (SUNDAY!!!). Telling me I was right, he had my strip of diamonds and they ordered me a ring!! I was very upset! He then had me go to " put MY stones in the ring". Which I just found out are still not mine!!! In the mean time the bracelet he supposedly shortened broke in half and the diamonds he put in the ring are loose because they are too small for the setting!!!! They switch your jewelry with smiles on their faces!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

I was looking for a snowflake pendant (which I hadn't realized was a seasonal thing) and jewelery associate there was so helpful in trying to find one in the store. Checking every display, multiple cases in storage, asking other coworkers and even checking the catalog. Although we didn't find one in-store, I was really appreciative of the effort that was put to help me find what I was looking for.

I am amending my review. After reading the response and contacting Fords Jewelers, they truly did all they possibly could do in their power to make this right, and that was greatly appreciated. I will reiterate that the work they did was beautiful and done quite well.I'm sure Fords will know who wrote this review, but here goes... The staff is awesome, very friendly and accommodating. I brought my grandmothers 100 year old engagement ring here for repair. I specifically went here because repairs are done in-house on site, which was important to me as this ring has more sentimental value than monetary value. I needed a small stone replaced and the shank repaired because it had a crack. I made sure to tell them that I didn't care what the shank looked like, I don't care if I can see the weld because I just wanted it fixed so I can wear it again. I also requested DO NOT RHODIUM PLATE this white gold ring because it matches the other ring I wear. My great uncle was a jeweler in Germany and this wedding set came from him, over 100 years ago. Both rings had a beautiful antique patina to them. Both the receipt that I had and the one which was left with my ring clearly stated DO NOT RHODIUM plate. I'm sure by now you can guess that when I picked up the ring it was a beautiful brilliant shiny white because it had been plated. When I asked the sales person and said this wasn't supposed to be plated, she spoke to the repair person and he said sorry about that, it can be buffed off. The sales person said I can PAY TO HAVE THE OTHER RING PLATED!? (why would I pay to correct their mistake?) When I picked the ring up the second time it was still white, there is no mistake that it clearly doesn't match the band I wear. This time the sales person brought it to the back and the the person doing the repairs said they were two different metals and it just buffed up like that, and insisted they did not plate my ring. Um sorry... you can't change your story now. Your first answer a week ago was "sorry about that", the weld mark is covered, and I have many photos of these two rings over the years since I wear them daily, and they clearly matched. I have heard the story many times how these rings came from my Uncle, they are not "different metals" (although now they look like it). So I am left with an antique ring set that doesn't match and I paid $127 for this. So the lesson here is if you don't want your antique jewelry to look brand spanking new, make sure 100% that they will not plate it, speak to someone and hear them confirm for you. Have them highlight it on the receipt. I have attached a picture of my antique ring set, original patina on the right and the allegedly not rhodium plated yet now bright white one on the left.I wish I hadn't paid them $127 for what feels like a semi-ruined ring, at least until the plating hopefully wears off in a few years. I am clearly unhappy and disappointed with what happened here, and sad that Ford's didn't think to handle it somehow differently by offering a discount for their mistake, or agreeing to plate the wedding band so at least my rings would match and wear evenly (not that I want them both plated but the way it looks now is just non-sensical, I have a set that doesn't match).
