Not a big place but it is free by donation. I really enjoyed leafing through the binders they had on the shelves. You can literally spend hours here doing that. I enjoyed the ones on the old amusement piers and the binders included pictures, many snapshots that were donated, brochures, newspaper articles, etc. I like that stuff and enjoyed going through those. Wish I had more time to really look through them but I thought it was going to be a 30 minute stop but I had to leave to get home after 2 hours. Awesome!

Great spot to learn what Wildwood used to be before all the millennial redevelopment.
By sure to check out the aerial view of the boardwalk in the second room ( on the wall ). Compare then and now and you will appreciate how much Wildwood changed.
Their videos are not captioned forcing us to miss out of lived details by the lifelong residents.

Interesting to know more about the Wildwoods area, a lot of historical pictures and artifacts. We could teach our kids what it was and how it worked. Staff very kind and friendly!

Super nice staff. Great artifacts of the last century. Pictures and newspaper articles from 1895. It's definitely worth it for people looking to learn about the region.
Not super flashy, but it would be hard to be, considering its purpose (it is FREE after all). I was glad to make a donation because such places need to exist.

This is the place to visit and learn about the wildwoods. You can find everything you need to know about the island from past to the present. There is a gift shop and room to view tons of photos. Theres a few rooms to show the different things wildwoods had on display along with hotels and doowop things. My favorite museum in the world.

Interesting... I am a historian whose interest is reflective of being an African American descendant. There was a small section that shared some of their black history. I also thought that the many photos of historic Wildwood the bathing attire from 100 years ago.

A sizable collection of Wildwood memorabilia is available. This place will send you over the Moon if you've ever lived or grown up in this town. Countless memories.Since I haven't visited the Jersey Shore, the exhibits were an intriguing look at its past, but they didn't give me the goosebumps. However, I like that it is free.Street parking meters are available.[Review 18240 overall - 116 in New Jersey - 1762 of 2022.]
