Very nice rooms and beds was comfortable best place I've stayed so far in the area. I'll be back next year. Rooms are huge. The ocean front efficiency is highly recommended by me. The people that work here are very friendly. They have free coffee In there restaurant.

HORRIBLE, DIRTY & OVERPRICED!! Very disappointed. Booked their "Best" The Captains Quarters, for a family of 5. l 1st knew we were in for it when we walked up the main stairs to our room seeing their nasty old dirty matted carpet leading to a concrete crumbling hallway to our room. Greeted by our rooms dirty door that was patched up from previous damages and modifications over many years! Welcomed to a room with rubber, warped floors that may have never been mopped! I asked my children to wear socks that instantly became brown from walking on it! Ceiling tiles warped with mold and water stains! Not to mention the stench near the refrigerator and entrance area! A stench that overpowered the kitchen area day after day after day! We never found the source of that small... A small fridge that took forever to become cold with a broken coolness knob. The kitchen is NOT suited for cooking, dirty with stains. Kitchen sink is small with an old stove that had only 2 burners that worked, only had 1 fork and 2 spoons in the drawer. PRIVATE balcony is far from being private with the entire right side balcony rooms overlooking you. NO umbrella and unfortunately it rained 2 days and we couldn't even use the balcony! Main bedroom was basically a mattress on a metal frame. Windows that didnt close and we had to hear their LOUD music being played over the outdoor speakers from 10am to 9pm! You can see that they aren't investing a single dollar into that place!! Don't waste your money! Never again. See my pictures!!!

Joe the manager was very inconsiderate and rude to my aunt who is elderly and made a mistake on booking. He would not work with us, and was very unprofessional. He does not know how to speak to women.

If you have never been the Beach at Wildwood Crest is world class. White sand slow drop off great for families. Highly recommended. The Jolly Roger can work great, but you need to know some facts. The first 3 floors with no chance of 1st FL room entire summer season. This is important because, unlike most, in fact, almost all of the other Hotels nearby, the Jolly Roger has NO ELEVATOR. So bad knees back etc... not best place to stay. We have a small dog that needed to be carried up and down all the stairs to our room on 3rd floor. We expected alot of walking but not so many stairs. Second I checked box on their website reservation app for pet Friendly room got quote paid full for 2 nights. Then check - in I was told we needed to notify them we are bringing a pet. Because there is a $30 upcharge...Per Night, for a pet. So if you are there a week $210 extra ( plus tax). And this is a seaside Hotel..no carpet easy to clean floors. I felt it should have disclosed this when I checked off Pet friendly room...they disagreed. So I paid. Anyway Two things I wish I knew before booking. Port Royal and Lotus both next to JR with Elevators if that's important. If it's not then JR clicks off a number of boxes 2nd block from beach. Cady corner to nice grass park for kids pets etc. Park has a splash park and a kids play park slide swings etc. And their pool is nice... Understanding that, esp during busy times, could be a bunch of diaper wearing kids. But most go for beach which, as I said before, is great.
Walkability: Certainly close enough to the beach. But Boardwalk is probably a car ride for most families. For us, definitely a yes to car because we like middle pier for rides.

The best hotel I've stayed at in Wildwood. The room was really spacious, the pool area was large with a smoking area, the staff was excellent and the cafe served a great breakfast and lunch.

I booked two rooms I know the hotel would be dated but The floors were very dirty. We had three kids with socks on and their socks were black with dirt. The toilet had not been cleaned with a brush cause their was Dirt from #2 yuk. I told the receptionist at the end of our stay cause we only stayed two nights. No towels at the pool. Wouldn't stay again. Two stars motel.
Rooms: Floors dirty .........

Spent three days at Jolly Roger in Wildwood Crest, it was so nice from booking our stay over the phone to our easy check in. We arrived early was able to park our car and use the pool . We had breakfast in the cute cafe and it was amazing with hot delicious coffee. Room was clean and recently renovated. The location is perfect with a great walking trail along the beach. We will be back.

I have never left a bad review on Google before, but this place deserves it. I actually took photos so you can see I am not making this up. We booked an oceanview balcony room and what we got was a first floor room with a 2 1/2 foot wide terrace (think of it more like a concrete step) right on Atlantic Avenue. (see photo) As we brought in our suit cases, people walking by outside waved at us - so, basically no privacy unless you closed the curtains all the way, and since that was the only window there was no sunshine at all in the entire room. Also since there was no screen on that window and only one other tiny window (2 foot wide) that opened to the hallway, there was no fresh air either. The room was dirty (see photos) and had ac units built into the wall but they were loose so there were gaps all around them (see photo). Bugs and flies came in through the gaps. The first day we were there, someone left a half full glass of beer on the outside portion (see photo) and it remained there during our entire stay. To make things worse, people would walk their dogs outside and let them urinate on the wall outside near/underneath the ac units so the room would smell like dog pee when the ac went on. I did try to talk to the owners about this but he told me "Stop being so dramatic." Umm, he didn't say that to my husband when he went to complain. He told my husband that he would change our room as soon as one became available, but, of course, we never heard from him again. Look, the pool was nice, and the other people we met there were very nice too, and my husband liked the pool cafe, but, honest to God, you ought to think twice before booking this place.

I went here 2 years ago for my brother's graduation, and I will never forget how amazing this place is! When my family and I were gone for a while, the room service people would clean up (we cleaned up all our personal stuff beforehand) and would leave the towels in fun shapes. One day, it was an octopus/jellyfish, and the next, it was a guy kicking his feet back. The pool was the perfect depth for no one to get injured, and it's heated for those cold days after a storm. I don't have any pictures on this phone because I had them on a previous device, and I since switched devices. It isn't too far from the beach, and not overly too far from the boardwalk. They have free coffee, and they have it in decaf if kids want to taste some! The breakfast they serve in their Neverland Cafe is so good that one bite will make you fall in love. All in all, this place is great! I'm actually planning on coming here again in a couple of years, and I can't wait!
