Easily the best paint store around. If you want a one-stop shop for high quality products, top notch experience, and expert guidance on your next project these are your guys. They are extremely friendly, approachable and happy to help with anything you bring to them. I've had great success using Hunterdon Paint for every project - from matching existing colors to choosing the correct product for my project. I drive past multiple paint stores to get to Hunterdon Paint and will continue to do that for a very long time. Thank you Jack and crew, you all are awesome!

I stopped in at Hunterdon Paint you have a piece of vinyl siding matched for exterior paint. I was actually told it wasn’t possible. I asked if I could get close and then take it from there. But the answer was no. That was a first in 35 years as a painting contractor.The people were nice enough and the store was beautiful but I’m still stunned that that’s the best we could do.

This is the BEST paint store in New Jersey, and I've been to all of them. One reason is- the staff is the best at what they do. Yesterday I went there to get some color matches to "try" (as I told the homeowner) to do some touches ups to an apartment. The homeowner was on a limited budget and didn't want to spend a lot to have the whole apartment painted. Normally touch ups to a 10 year old paint job are IMPOSSIBLE but the staff took their time and meticulously matched each of the colors from cut out samples from the walls. Well, to my surprise, I was able to touch up each of the 4 different colors without painting the whole apartment, as the color matches were ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!Most people think that to get a color match, all you do is shoot it to the computer and that's it. But much more skill is needed by a discerning eye and the knowhow of what additional colors are needed in the correct amounts to get a match. Even then. it's never perfect- until now.The result was- the homeowner saved about $2000,00 on materials and labor.I see some people saying that this place is expensive... Really? About a year ago I used the homeowners paint - won't mention any names but let's just call it "Polar Bear Paint", famous for that 1 coat coverage. Not only did I use all 3 gallons for 3 coats, but you could see every roller mark and gloss variations, and this was with flat paint- looked awful. So I then went to Hunterdon Paint and bought 1 gallon. With one coat, made the ceiling look like a perfect cloud of white- no roller marks and totally consistent finish. But the complement goes to the staff again, recommending a new ceiling white paint that just came out. I would have picked the wrong one.One last thing I will say about Benjamin Moore paint- back in the early 80's this was the "go to" paint for quality and ease of performance, but new laws came out with oil based paints which was BM's finest and what we all used for trim. There was a dark time for this company with their latex paints as so many pros I know moved to other brands. But now after trying many brands, Benjamin Moore is back on top in my opinion. White paint is typically the most difficult to cover, and that's what I use to judge quality. I'm not saying that Sherwin Williams is not good paint- but BM is now better- certainly easier to work with and the coverage is outstanding.The friendly staff at Hunterdon will help you choose the right paint for the right job and save you money.

Hunterdon Paint earned 5 stars!! We needed help finding a paint color and they made it super easy. Their knowledge of paint is amazing, and they helped find the perfect color!! As promised on their website, their customer service is outstanding as well.

I honestly never write reviews but I feel the need to do so because the staff was honestly so rude. I went in asking for stain for an interior space, had an exterior paint sample book not realizing. Instead of giving me help and guidance in selecting something similar to what I had already picked. I was laughed at and told to look on the wall for options. No one left from behind the counter to show me where these samples were, they just pointed. When I settled for paint which wasnt what I wanted they told me to have a nice day on my "little project". Im a designer by trade and felt so belittled.

This store is a godsend !! Helpful in every aspect of the job. There knowledge is unsurpassed. I drive past the Clinton paint store 15 minutes to deal with the pros. And from my jobs it shows. Thanks guys your the best !! ??
