Worst place in the world. You can’t make an appointment before 1 month out and although you have been a customer since the birth of your dog. They don’t care at all. Don’t bother.

Ive been going here since I was a small child with my first family dog, and every dog since. Im now 23 with 2 dogs of my own and I still go to this place. They've always been a super helpful staff- very passionate about the animals and their health. The Facility is beautiful and clean, my dogs dont ever seem to mind a trip there because of the friendly atmosphere.

I'm sorry to have to report that the staff had an angry and disrespectful attitude as i was inquiring about the cost of a visit for my dog. The staff behavior was unprofessional. I know everyone has a bad day from time to time but it's not good to bring that to the clinic. I think that the professionalism of the vet staff reveals the culture of the clinic and this one seems to be really in need of improvement.

We have brought our pets to Hunterdon Hill Animal Hospital for almost 20 years. Dr Chet and Dr Westfield were the absolute best and caring vets we could have had take care of our pets. But that has clearly changed. We brought our beloved 5.5 yr old border collie - McKinley - to Hunterdon Hills this morning. Sadly he was suffering from acute pancreatitis. He had spend the weekend at Crowne animal hospital and came home weak but we were hopefully for recovery. But he rapidly declined. He also had epilepsy that we had lovingly taken care of for 5 years and would have done anything to keep him healthy and happy. But it was not to be. He was in serious pain and we knew it was time to say good bye. We called HH Animal Hospital in the morning since they had taken care of McKinley since he was a puppy. We notified them that our "little boy" was in serious decline and may need to be put down and that we would likely arrive slightly after lunch depending on the time we wanted to spend with him. We arrived at 1pm. My wife was in the car cradling our dying dog along with my son while I went in to make sure there was an exam room for him to be in. The front desk left me out in the lobby for 20 mins before finally asking if we had an appointment ... for a euthanasia of our beloved dog!! I explained my wife called earlier but we did not make an appointment. She was completely uncaring. She simply asked again do you have an appointment. I said again my wife called 2 hrs earlier. She said a final time to me that I needed an appointment. I walked away and said outloud to no one "what kind of dumb ass veterinary practice requires an appointment for an emergency euthanasia"? Finally the Vet came out after making me wait even longer, to ask if I had an appointment for my dog to be put down with absolutely no caring or empathy at all. I said I did not but that we had called earlier. Finally with my wife and son crying in the car as our dog was dying, I walked back to the car and we drove away to Crowne Animal Hospital where we had caring vets and nurses giving us empathy and sympathy for the loss of our beloved dog. We spent 90 mins as the staff consoled us since they had just treated McKinley over the weekend. Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital is now an uncaring, unsympathetic veterinary practice that will never again treat any of my pets. With the loss of caring professionals like Dr Westfield and Dr Chet, this place should be avoided. Clearly not a place with workers that give a damn about your pets in my opinion. Any veterinary practice that cannot take an emergency such as a dying dog without an appointment has no right being in business as far as I'm concerned.

Great experience with our two rescue chichihuas. Have been twice and both times were a pleasant experience with a very caring staff from front end desk to the vet techs and doctors. I'm 40minutes away and will continue to make the trip:)

My 10-year old pug was in for a nail trim. The staff were very professional and caring. The tech who performed his nail trim did a wonderful job, as always!

Staff is great. Very friendly and accommodating. Jackie did a great job on the hygiene shave of my cat, Coonie. I will definitely request her ALL of the time. She went above and beyond to help my long hair cat. Coonie is so happy and she now struts around like she is a beauty queen, lol. Thanks so much!
