“Amazing hobby store with a tremendous selection, especially for RC cars. Matt is a gem of a guy. He spent nearly 45 minutes guiding my 11 year old son on purchasing his first Traxxas kit, masks, spray paints, brushes, decals and more. Even gave him some tips on assembly and painting while showing a couple of his own personal builds. A few weeks later, we had an issue with the car and he quickly helped diagnose the single screw that was the problem! Plus, a couple really cool slot car racing tracks in the back for $5/15 minutes. Old school place, gotta love it.”
“As you make your way up to the door, the first thing you notice is the ornate stained glass designed windows that flank either side. Is this place a temple for these beings? Is it another art studio that specializes in such craftsmanship? Your curiosity gets the better of you and you examine the door more closely to reveal the word: Highlander. It invokes images of power, cleverness and the always fashionable tartan-print of kilts! You read the second word: Games. It invokes images of fun, laughter and memories of childhood. These words conflict, yet they create a fusion of harmony that you yearn to find out more about. So, you do what any wise explorer would do with such curiosity: you act upon it and delve further as you open the door.
Before you does indeed stand a place of worship, though not in a conventional sense. The walls are lined with tapestries and banners of more prominent figures and kingdoms. There are colorful portraits featuring strange landscapes, creatures and powerful individuals of great status. There are pews of cushioned steel and tables crafted of lacquered and stained wood where the acolytes perform strange cardboard rituals.
To your immediate right, there is a glass encased reliquary filled with valuable cardboard texts of all kinds: artifacts, spells, summons and more, that, if one were to offer the warden(s) behind the counter a charitable donation, one could certainly have such powerful knowledge for themselves. How does one protect such things? The warden(s) show you the assortment of plastic barriers forged in dragon’s fire, magic tomes covered in protective coating for your cardboard treasures and several other ways to transport your materials.
The shelves beyond the warden’s post are filled to the brim with colorful receptacles with strange names…what do they mean? What horrors can these hued cubes unleash?
Then, you notice the back wall of the temple is filled with more of these colored boxes, only this time: they seem to be filled with a more straightforward ability: to summon entire armies to fight for you. There are books that sit beside them: no doubt the strategies and notes of ancient generals that came before you. Will you raise one of your own and aim for glory? There is so much to see here, yet you are conflicted. Do you raise an army? Do you unleash the power of a box upon the shelves? Do you acquire something fron the reliquary?
The choice is yours.

“These guys are SO friendly and helpful, and have a ton of materials and expertise. Most of the stuff is geared towards table top gaming, but I make miniatures (dioramas, dollhouse scale objects) and they were able to answer all my technical questions about my own projects. They also have a big table with terrain in the back, ostensibly to host games. They have a lot of Tamiya, green stuff, testors, polystyrene, and citadel supplies. Easily the best hobby shop in the NYC area.”

The woman that helped me was the same that patiently helped me two years ago with another project I needed framed. I had a lot of leg pain, and she could not have been more helpful or kind. Brought me out her stool so I could sit, and kept moving on the project. While she was measuring, another woman shopping said to me "This woman is a gem, she has helped me before." Could not agree more, wish I caught her first name, but I believe her surname is Matano? Just cannot thank her enough. Chris B.”

They have almost everything you can imagine (could use some more icelandair) but 9.8/10 because they don’t have all the airlines. Store workers are really nice!I love this place and would DEFINITELY recommend!!!❤️”
