This vet office is always accommodating and friendly. They have appointments 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. I have made simple appts from cutting my cats nails to medical emergencies and they alway fit me in. I would highly recommend Westwood vet.

I recently visited Westwood Regional Animal Hospital with my golden retriever, Willow, and I must say, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We've been seeing Dr. Cattiny for some time now, and his dedication to doing things the right way has never wavered. He's thorough, compassionate, and always takes the time to explain treatments and procedures in a way that's easy to understand. I've seen some negative reviews online, but from my numerous visits, they just don't add up. The care and attention Willow receives here are unparalleled. A big thank you to Dr. Cattiny and the entire team for consistently going above and beyond. While Westwood Regional Animal Hospital isn't the least expensive option available, it's also far from the most costly. Their pricing strikes a balance, reflecting the high-quality care and state-of-the-art facilities offered. During our visits, I've had the opportunity to tour the hospital and was impressed by the modern medical equipment and the clean, welcoming environment. It's evident that they invest not only in their staff's expertise but also in maintaining a facility that supports the best possible care for our pets.

Our 2 year old AKC champion went for an emergency visit...after only a few minutes, Dr. Catinny was able to pinpoint Koda's pain. Whereas the staff was very helpful, Dr. Catinny was the one that inspired the most calming confidence that Koda was going to be ok.After a few years of going for regular day care (we thought it was important to continue to socialize our dogs) and speaking to former employees, it would appear that the facility as not forthcoming about other visiting dogs with kennel cough. No wonder Koda wound up coming back sick from each visit. No more visits to day care.Even in emergency visits, the waiting time was insane...to the point of there was no point of emergency anymore. They have since changed their operating hours (no more 24/7) to that of a standard vet office. They started with so much promise...it's sorry to see that it has not come to fruition.

I took my dog in for ear infection was given prednisone by Dr. Silver, my dog is sicker now then she was from ear. I called several times to speak to Dr Silver, she never called back, I was assured that she received messages and would call, she never did and they closed at 10. This is poor practice and shows no concern for the animal!!!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, all they care is money, how much unnecessary tests can I do so I can get more money, took my 7 months old cat to them, due to blockage, 2 times, ended up paying almost $2000 dollars and my cat died yesterday with a very painful, suffering death, kept sending me home undiagnosed reasons for her sickness, everyone gets annoyed when you ask too many questions, they are the reason my cat died, we are devastated but hey at least they are $2000 dollars richer.Wow, wow, I finally get a response for my review which was left months ago, and its full of lies, and NO apology , I didn’t want to pursue treatment, THERE WAS NO TREATMENT offered, are you kidding me, I came 3 times and paid $2000 dollars and was sent home with diet cat food and Nausea medicine, this is an awful place ?

Do NOT go to the Westwood Hospital for an emergency with your pet.I was there on Tuesday with a bloody pet who received NO attentionbecause there were NO VETS on call at 7:40 AM. My pet was not attendedto immediately and we waited around for over 1 hour. The Vet who wasemailed to come in cleaned up the blood on the floor AND NEVER EVERCLEANED UP MY DOG's EYE THAT WAS BLEEDING.NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE LACK OF SERVICEAND THE NON ATTENTION TO AN EMERGENCY. SHE CALLED BACK PATIENTSAND WE WERE WAITING IN A ROOM FOR HER RETURN. SHE ALSO LISTED ACOUPLE OF TESTS SHE WANTED TO BILL UP BEFORE EVEN EXAMINING THEDOG. WHO DOES THIS???????UPON LEAVING I REQUESTED DR. CATTINY'S EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBER.....NO RESPONSE OR ANY HELP. THIS IS A DISGRACE.PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO HERE IN AN EMERGENCY FOR THE SAKE OF YOURBELOVED ANIMAL.

Had a ten am appt scheduled for my pup for an echocardiogram yesterday. Got there ten to ten. I should say I live 45 minutes away in north Rockland. Was told by reception that the ultrasound technicians would not be in until 130 or 430. I was stunned to hear this news. I was at the vets for five hours. All they had to do was give me a quick call the day before to tell me to come in at 1:30 which I would have been happy to do. It was a torrential rain, and I didn't feel like driving back-and-forth again. I was assured that my dog would be comfortable in the back, which I did not think was a good idea, since he has anxiety and a heart condition but in any event, he was taken and put into the back And I tried to make the time go faster by wasting time at Trader Joe's. The ultrasound tech didn't end up coming until after 2:30 PM and I begged them to take my pup first, which I believe they did. When he finally came out, it was already well into rush-hour traffic, and that is how we drove home. Torrential downpour in rush-hour traffic. Plus, my dog was panting so terribly when he came out and on the entire ride home, so clearly, he wasn't "comfortable" in the back. All of this could have been alleviated. Had someone just had the courtesy to pick up the phone and let me know of the change in schedule I have been going there for almost 2 years now, and was so disappointed in the lack of consideration. they did apologize for this error, but it was so strange because I confirmed it myself on the phone the day before. It seems like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Cadushi was rushed in on Jan 27 for emergency surgery. He got the best care. Dr Cattiny was amazing and caring. Dr Hartwick was his aftercare doctor who went above and beyond. The Med techs too many to name were so kind and caring. I was there every night with him. I highly recommend Dr Cattiny and his staff. we are now on the road to recovery with PT starting next week! Thank you team!

Westwood veterinary hospital is the best. My dog had gastric reflex for so many years until Dr. Hartwick cured him. The staff and doctors are caring and nice. dr. Hartwick calls you and actually cares and talks to you about the care of your pet. The only vet to take your pet.
