“Almost each day there are new & interesting items to choose from. There is much to look at, take your time walking through the store, you may miss a gem. Friendly & helpful staff. Worth the trip.”
“I had the incredible opportunity to serve as one of the lead teachers at Give Chances Organization, and it has proven to be an immensely valuable experience witnessing each student receiving support in their education and volunteers gaining various leadership and teaching experiences. Collaborating with both students and volunteers has enabled me to cultivate various transferable skills, including effective communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving. I am excited to witness further academic and personal growth in more students.”
“The Ridgewood Women's club is an absolutely beautiful venue that I highly recommend to anyone. My wife and I threw a baby shower the size of a wedding there (140-150 people), and the event space was perfect for it. The women who run the club are professional, responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful experience and we can't thank them enough. Everyone should look into this place for a large event. You won't be disappointed.”

313 Hudson Ave, Tenafly“Very decent nature center and system of trails around it (see Avenza or AllTrails for precise navigation). Unfortunately mid-July situation with mosquitoes is horrible, just too many of them to enjoy the trails.”
“I love this little house. As children, we would come on school trips. It looked so big, but now, as an adult, everything looks so small. I adore the history and the fact that it's still standing in the middle of Inwood. It's a must-see if you're in the area. Trust me, when you're in the backyard, you're going to feel like you're not even in the city.”
“This is the first time I have ever gone to City Green. I actually never even realized it was there. I was impressed but the vegetables they had and understand that they have a large festival the weekend before or after thanksgiving. Will keep an eye out for that.”
“This is a wonderful preschool staffed by incredible therapists and teachers. The atmosphere is full of joy which is so important for young children. Children look forward to coming to school! Highly recommended!”

“My child attended last year in 3K in Mr. Michael's classroom, the school is wonderful, they have very friendly and very empathetic staff, the teachers, assistants, secretary, in short, they are all super professional and will guide and help you in everything your little one's process”
“I started going to New Hope Community Ministries three years ago, and I feel like I am a part of their family. They provide a welcoming, friendly, supportive, and safe environment to everyone in the community. Because of New Hope Community Ministries, I met amazing people and created friendships. Thank you, New Hope Community Ministries, for welcoming me with open arms!”
“We took the moonlight kayak experience and it was fun! Very good equipment, and they ensure that they give everyone a light (to track) and a whistle (in case of emergencies). Unfortunately, on the night we went out, there were many clouds and we just got a tiny glimpse of the moon. But the overall kayak experience through the marshes and under the bridges was amazing and is a total value for money! When they say only for experienced kayakers, believe them because they go at a very fast pace, especially towards the end. There is a small washroom near the river to use, but it is not very clean and also has no lights. We got drenched by the end of the tour, and regretted not taking a change of clothes! The actual launch point for the kayak is a 10-15 minute walk from the Secaucus station.”

65 Oak St, Hackensack“Our district's 18-21 Transition Program opened last year amidst COVID, so it was very difficult to develop opportunities in the community for my students. We were very excited to connect with Greens Do Good, and our year changed as student internships began. The experience at the farm is unique. Students are passionate, and very proud when working alongside GDG staff to contribute to the success of the farm.We are very grateful for our partnership with GDG. In addition to the internships, they employ students, and bring people together for projects that will improve the lives of individuals with special needs. They continue to be an amazing resource for our students and their families.Thank you for all that you do!Michael - Transition Coordinator at STEPSS Program”

“Marc is the best!! He will answer all of your questions. There are five marked trails with maps. There is a pond and places to sit and watch nature at it's best. You'll forget there is a shopping center a half mile away. Go. Go now.”
“The staff is very friendly and eager to help. You can drop off donations at any time. There is a drop off point in the lower parking garage. It's the first right as you pull in the driveway. Go to the main entrance at any time of day or night to get a receipt for your tax purposes. The main entrance is located on the second entrance on the right up the main driveway. The Salvation Army also offers adult rehabilitation.”
“PROS: this place was very nice. Historically a train station that was renovated into a shop. The staff was nice, prices were amazing, variety of items plentiful, everything was organized, and the items were good quality. There was even loads of parking CONS: the place wasn't all that big which caused congestion inside. OVERALL: I will definitely come back here as this is an amazing place to go thrifting”
“I cannot say enough how this place has helped me within the last 2yrs. I would like others go down there on line and was having issues trying carry it all until one day an employee reached out to me and asked if I was disabled since they saw my license plates. I usually don't play the oh poor me thing bcuz I'm disabled so I n ver stated my struggle since they opened there doors to me without questions. A representative asked for my number and explained that a new program was starting and I would have to qualify to get home delivery and I do. Thank you CUMAC. They also reached out to me to help me see if I qualify for anything else and that was just recent. Jenny is who I met with and made me feel so comfortable and addressed all my concerns to get me the additional help I need. This place truly helps the community.”
“Excellent adult swim courses. Scott and Ellie do a really good job at teaching adults with little to no experience how to swim. If you barely know how to float, this is a good start. My son has told me the boys locker rooms need some loveAll the instructors are dedicated to ensuring younger student pass their swim levels. The lifeguards could be a little bit more attentive during classes, they sometimes look spaced out”
“My Friend just Celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on a Saturday Night. Beautiful Venue to Host a Party or a Wedding Reception. Ample Parking and access to the Entrance. I attended on Crutches and realized that they do have a Ramp leading straight into the Hall on the Right Side of the Building. Nice Setup.. There's an area for a Bar and Food Service Station. The Music System has to be Provided by your personal DJ or Band.Very Nice Over All Experience.Thank You ?”

20 Puffin Way, Teaneck“Nice place to go for a walk and clear your mind. Lots of birds and other wildlife can be heard and seen. There is a trail making it suitable for children and seniors as well. The best time to come here is in Autumn. They did some environmental restoration renovations but I'm unsure as to what exactly those positive changes were.”
Open 24 hours
490 Midland Ave, Garfield“Great for the kids. Many activities for our children throughout the year. My son started to dislike it when the children started misbehaving, getting in trouble by the counselors, counselors ignoring students concerns.”
“PROS: The people in here are nice and it's very clean and organized. they have many sections to choose from that range for people of all ages. CONS: They only accept cash up to $25 and parking is limited to street parking. It's also cramped inside overall: if you were in the area you should stop on in. Their prices are low for some items and high for others, just depending on what you're looking for as well”
“I can't express enough gratitude for the incredible experience my family and I had with Peace4paws, especially with Amanda leading the way. From the moment we inquired about rescuing a pup, we felt welcomed and supported. Amanda's warmth and kindness instantly put us at ease, making the adoption process smooth and stress-free.
Her knowledge and passion for animal welfare were evident as she guided us through each step, ensuring we found the perfect match for our home. Amanda took the time to understand our lifestyle and preferences, ultimately introducing us to Oakley (formerly known as Wally).
Not only did Amanda facilitate the adoption process seamlessly, but she also went above and beyond to provide resources and support even after Oakley came home. Her dedication to the well-being of animals and genuine care for adopters like us truly sets Peace4paws apart.
We are forever grateful to Amanda and the entire Peace4paws team for bringing Oakley into our lives and making our adoption journey a truly unforgettable one. We wholeheartedly recommend Peace4paws to anyone looking to add a furry friend to their family. Thank you for everything!”
