I never write reviews but decided to write one for this one ! The worst office ever I keep calling since November to schedule mine and my son’s allergy shots - no response! I spoke with three employees and was told to call back numerous times! Three weeks ago I spoke with the front desk lady and she reassured me that my call will be returned , nope- nobody called me still! The worst place ever would never go back!!!

Daughter had surgery here. Phone number provided if needing assistance Is basically nonworking. Anytime you call, you are placed on hold via the automated system for minimum one hour, and when you become first in line you get hung up on. Waited on hold for two hours today until the office closed was unable to speak to anyone. If you want a medical practice with the ability to communicate with the medical team, do not choose this practice. No one answers the phone and no one answers your messages via the portal. Very poor communication.

I have been calling Nancie to schedule procedure for my son since 20 days, I’m not talking about availability, you can’t reach anyone if you want to schedule a surgery. She doesn’t answer the phone, neither getting back to messages, I did even ask help from her colleagues but nothing I received so far. I don’t know how long my son needs to suffer because of that irresponsible lady but I’m done I’ll go with another doctor. Please do not use this location for your goodness.

While I have no issues with the doctor, I don’t really understand their method of patch testing. Takes 3 appointments - one to apply allergy patch, one to remove/view results and the last is with the doctor. However, I was told to remove my patch at home and then go to the office 2 days later for my second appointment, for what? Money? Very different experience than my friend who had the same test done at a different facility and was told patch removal is done by nurse (as is should for the bill im getting) I plan to go elsewhere, do not recommend…

Upon walking in, check in was fast & easy. I was brought into a room within 5 minutes. Nurse/attendant Sonia was polite, efficient and went through all my information with me. Dr. Heller came in shortly and was thorough with her exam and discussing course of treatment for my cold/sinus issues. I had the best experience here and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Pleasant staff, efficient & caring!

Go to any other place. I walked in with 3 people ahead of me in the waiting room, and I left 4 hours later. The PA there is a joke, and the imaging tech (asian woman) is really rude and has zero bedside manners. This was my second time rolling ankle, and the first time I went to an ortho practice for xrays. This time, it was the mid holidays, so ended up going to urgent care. The difference between the two, for the same issue, is TREMENDOUS. The PA here ordered xrays for everything above and below the ankle, for no freaking reason. Hello, no one's insurance nowadays covers imaging at 100 percent, we all have coinsurance for each service code. I'm not paying for unnecessary procedures just because you want to make more money. I had to tell the PA no, she still put the order in. So sat in imaging another 20 min waiting for a new order. And the X-ray tech nearly twisted my leg to do the images. In the otho practice, the doctor was efficient and the tech knew what they needed to do with the injury like mine - no twisting my leg, just simple tilt. So if you're looking to be overcharged for unnecessary crap, endure pain and rudeness, and spend 4 hours of your time sitting around and waiting, this is the place for you.

Complete mess of an organization. Habitually under-staffed, offices communicate haphazardly with lab often forgetting to hand off orders. The poor lab technician looked completely exhausted and the lobby was packed with people all running behind schedule.

Great medical staff, as always, and I would give it 5 stars except for their customer service. Booking an appointment for lab work at the Westfield, NJ location will be a terrible experience depending on who answers the phone. They clearly hired contractors -- people who work from home because the level of professionalism and even basic phone etiquette and manners was sorely lacking with the first person I spoke with. When I first tried to book an appt for a relative I got a woman who talked over me as soon as I started my first sentence, saying that lab work cannot be done unless the doctor is in the group. She must have said it 5 times really emphatically. I told her I didn't know if the doctor was in the group and I asked her to check. Long pause, so I knew she didn't want to help at all. Then she said "Um, let me switch you to the lab. At that point I was on hold for 20 minutes and finally gave up. I called again and got the same woman who answered the phone with, "Yeah?" Wow. I asked her if this was Summit Medical Group and she said, "Oh uh, yeah," as if she was in a hurry. I told her that I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the lab. She told me, "Just keep trying because there's only one person there, sorry." What an unhelpful j**** Fire her and get someone else who is more helpful. Plenty of people need a job. I wasn't expecting her to part the waters but her lazy attitude and uncaring tone just rankled. Finally I called a third time and got a completely different person, who in fact offered to see if the doctor was a part of summit medical group. He also asked for patient's DOB, SSN, and booked my relative right on the spot. He couldn't have been nicer and apologized on behalf of the rude woman who I originally spoke to.

COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL SAFETY OF PATIENTS. My sister has a history of fainting / seizures when getting blood tested. She also has anxiety disorder and panic attacks. Due to the last seizure being really traumatizing, my sister was fearful of getting blood drawn. She called the front desk multiple times to warn the doctors there about her history of seizures and about her fear of getting blood drawn. During the appointment, the lady refused to make ANY accommodations for her. She refused to recline the chair for her. When my sister began to sense that this lady would not be comforting at all- in fact- careless and rude- she began to hyperventilate. When my sister was hyperventilating/beginning to have a panic attack, the doctor told her that she was “too much drama” and making her job “harder than it needs to be.” Then she refused to draw her blood and cancelled her appointment. This is DISGUSTING behavior and this woman does not deserve to have a position in healthcare. I am repulsed and action must be taken against this horrible individual.

My girlfriend went here to get blood drawn. She has a medical condition where she faints / seizes while getting her blood drawn. the women taking her blood were rude and overall cruel, saying she was making their job difficult just for asking to recline the chair, and said she was “too much drama” and to leave. There was not an inkling of compassion or acknowledgement of her condition which we called ahead about. This is NOT a safe environment.

Do not go here unless you are ready to pay $400 plus for a 10 min doctor visit! This place is horrible! Overcharges for everything. Do yourself a favor and go to the facilities that would charge you reasonably. Even if you decide to visit this place, I advise you confirm the rates upfront so you won’t have surprise bill of 400 plus!!!!!! This place is pathetic. I advise staying away from it.

I never write bad reviews.... but I can't hold my tongue on this. Went here for a Covid test because I had all the symptoms of Covid. Being that every place was booked near us or had a few days wait I had to go here (work needed me tested before my return). I called my insurance who said anything involving Covid would be covered.... however once getting to this urgent care they informed me that NOTHING WOULD BE COVERED... and it would be at MOST.... AT MOST.... 400 dollars for the visit. Ok fine, I had no choice..... I asked a nurse again while waiting on the Covid line the costs and she said the same thing... UP TO 400.... I also asked the nurse at check in.... she said ALSO 400.... NOT ONE OF THEM SAID IT DID NOT INCLUDE MY COVID TESTING WHICH IS WHAT I WAS THERE FOR and what every nurse whom I spoke to knew.... So I finally get the bill today and guess what it's 612 dollars....... 612!!!!! No offer of a payment plan.... nothing.... just pay before a due date which isn't even listed ANYWHERE ON MY BILL.. These people are thieves. I understand nurses are stressed... HOWEVER I ASKED THREE NURSE.... THREE NURSES....when it comes to bills and money they need to be more upfront with their answers ESPECIALLY DURING A PANDEMIC AND RIGHT BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. I am sorry if this review comes out mean... I just don't like being lied to.... or having information left out on purpose.... especially when it involves money..... I work part time because of Covid and I have no idea how I'll pay this in full since I budgeted for the 400.... DO NOT GO HERE..... ALSO THE DOCTOR I SAW SAID THE RAPID TEST ISN'T THAT ACCURATE. So there was a waste of 100 right there..... (after I already took it) Just wait to go to cvs or somewhere that is free.... this place is a scam......

This review is long overdue. I went to Summit Medical Group today for lab work. I walked in a tad bit late (Sorry!). I was immediately greeted with a smile by the phlebotomist. She verified my information and took me in after checking in the next person behind me. The service was fast, efficient and courteous. I do this review because I have been going to various locations of Summit Medical Group for 20+ years and for over 20 years the service has been spectacular. I started with them when my son was about 2 years old at their Short Hills location. I've used theirs Urgent Care, After hour Doctors, internal Medicine, Labs, Radiology, Gynecology, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, and a host of other specialties. Throughout the years I have had more memorable/pleasant experiences then unpleasant. I hate getting blood drawn and have 1 good, visible vain, but the staff always seem to put be at ease. The young lady today was more than great at her job (Shame on me for not getting her name, but she's been there for a few years), she was very professional and personable; it's because of people like her that Summit Medical Group is such a growing success. She not only provided stellar service, but World Class service. Not to mention the facilities and restrooms are always clean. So if you are seeking A great Medical Practice you may want to look at Summit Medical, they have so mNy locations Morristown, Florham Park, West Orange, Livingston, Berkeley Heights, WestField, Warren and some that I don't even know about, but they have worked for me. Truthfully I've only had 1 unpleasant experience in 20+ years and it's not worth writing about, because in this case the good truly outweighs the bad.
