Knowledge of products and customer service. I love that I can walk I. And say “I need paint for a freshly wallboarded bathroom” and they tell me exactly how much and what product to buy. Wait for the 25% or 40% off sale if you can.

I was repairing a painted ceiling and needed to find a paint to match. I brought in a chip and the store employee used her scanner to mix up a matching color and finish. After the paint dried, it was hard to tell where the patch was. Perfect! Great job, SW Westfield!

Came in at 5:35pm to get 4 samples. I didn’t realize the samples were $9 and almost a quart in size. I turned my back to supervise my son as the young man made my samples. Once I saw the size of the 2nd sample, I realized I made a mistake, but the 3rd sample was already mixing. I asked this young man if I would need a primer. He said all off the paints have a built in primer. Then I asked which paint was most forgiving for amateurs who apply uneven pressure to strokes. He recommended Duration for families with young children. I told him that I have dark colors right now and asked if the Duration could work over dark. He changed his story and said he recommends primer to everyone. I realized he is just a kid who probably never painted a house. I quit asking him about hues and all that. I decided to just get a paper sample for the 4th color at that point. He told me a number. I couldn't find it in any of the obvious color families. I told him I was having trouble locating it. Then, he told me he had to close up shop in 5 minutes. He walked over to the colors and had no idea of the order but reiterated that the store was closing.I am not sure if these stores are individually owned, but I hope so because there are plenty of young people who would be much more ambitious to help and learn and way more knowledgeable. Someone should be with him until he is properly trained. I just watched him leave the store with his backpack and a pizza only to return when he realized the lights are on and the door is open. He’s spent the last 20 minutes walking in and out of the store trying to figure out how to close it. Shame on the owner of this store. I know it’s vacation season and a Friday, but your business comes first. I hope my paint samples are accurate because I just spent $30 on 3 samples.

I'm not used to great customer service at most paint places in the area, but this location is exceptional. Came in on a Labor Day (that they were even open was great) and the gentlemen that helped me was super knowledgeable. He answered my questions and then went ahead and tacked on a .99 foam brush into my order so I could reach the $10 discount. Normally, I use Benjamin Moore, but I was told by my house painter that SW is the best for exterior paint. So, I may make the switch soon enough.

Great sevice, worked with Herman. Had a sample i needed to match, but it was too small for scanner. Heman got the closest match from fandeck and adjusted it perfectly. Great match, easy blend on siding. Allowed a touch up instead of a wall to wall job. Saved a lot of time and work. Very polite, intelligent young man who knows his job very well. Thanx Herman
