I brought my watch here, based on the Google reviews, in mid-September for a loose screw rattling around in my watch that was affecting the timing. The owner was quick to diagnose and fix the issue over 1-2 days time, for approx. $35.
A few days after picking up my watch, the face of its started turning freely as it became disconnected internally - I've never seen such a thing before, nor had any issues with the watch arisen prior the screw being loose and subsequent repair.
I took it back to the shop, where the owner immediately advised it was unrelated to his repair, and instead "must have fallen really hard", which never happened, and would be "$50 or so" to fix. After 5 years of no issues w/ this watch, its difficult to believe that it broke so easily, and internally, only a few days after a repair. Mistakes happen, but the flippant demeanor in which it was addressed was very disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere, or a find a properly certified repair center for your brand.

A friend recommended this small independent jeweler to me about 30 years ago . It’s kind of a word of mouth establishment . Jack, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and talented . He can repair any piece of jewelry or watch you take to him , but recently he has created some fantastic custom pieces for me . He created a beautiful wedding band for my Sons wife’s engagement ring that no stock ring would compliment . Next up was a family stone I wanted set in a ring that looked similar to a David Yurman piece . I can’t tell you how many compliments I have received on this ring that Jack created. Not to be outdone , i took him a Lagos earring to which i had lost the mate .He had a mold made somehow , had a custom stone shaped that looked exactly like the original and I am absolutely astounded at how much it looks like the original earring .He really likes being creative .In short, I highly recommend Gordin Jewelers in Westfield NJ.

Another fine job! Had a setting made for a small cameo a friend purchased in Rome. Jack discussed several options…high end and least expensive. I went with the least expensive and it came out perfect. Always fair,honest and great craftmanship.

I've been going to Jack at Gordin & Sons ever since a friend recommended them back in the 1990's. He is fantastic at working on watches. BUT, he also really enjoys helping with custom made creative projects. He had a beautiful diamond wedding band custom made for my son to give to his bride, he set a family diamond for me into a custom made fabulous setting I had seen in a magazine, and just recently he had a family emerald set into a pendent for my son-in-law to give to my daughter. Everything was beautiful!

This establishment did a great job customizing my watch. I asked them to repair the gasket on the coin edge bezel I installed two years ago and to install a new ceramic bezel insert. I received my updated watch two days later and I am extremely impressed with their craftsmanship and knowledge regarding automatic, manual winder, and quartz movement watches. I highly recommended them for watch service! The first image below is before it was serviced (dive watch bezel not moving with old sub style bezel insert). The second image is after it was serviced (functional bezel with new blue fifty fathoms ceramic bezel insert).

Went to get my watch link removed for a Seiko Speed-timer which had the tube links. They were super helpful and almost charged nothing for it. They’re very knowledgeable about watches and have a nice vintage collection consisting of tags, omegas and other prestige brands. Would go back for any of my watch needs. Kudos !

Came in today to get my 20 year old Tag Heuer's battery replaced. Turns out I had an issue with the chronograph as well and they were able to get everything sorted. Great spot! Owners are very knowledgeable, kind, and willing to help.

Gordin & Sons is best jeweler in town!!! I needed my engagement ring repaired on short notice. Multiple other jewelers in town quoted me 2+ weeks to ship my ring to their “repair center”. Not Gordin & Sons!! They do repairs in house and the craftsmanship is impeccable. My ring was repaired same day and looks better than it did when it was new!
