My son loves school, loves all his teachers and all his classmates since his day 1 as a 2.5 yr old. He cannot stop talking about his friends and teachers. I’m truly blessed to observe how each teacher loves every single child and makes them feel special and important. They all feel like a family to us. I’m so happy to see how he’s grown into a kind, caring, confident little man. I cannot agree more with the school’s philosophy with a great focus in their social and emotional development. I just cannot wait for the school to resume their co-op program to allow for helping parents to get involved!

My kids and I love the school and all the teachers. The preschool is a great introduction to school. While playing, singing, reading, and doing projects, the students learn how to follow a school routine, how to listen, how to be a good friend, and how to take pride in their accomplishments.The kindergarten extension program is great too! Hawk and Dutch Neck bus to and from the program. Because the class size is smaller, the kids get more attention and individualized instruction. The projects are fun and creative, but require kids to practice so many skills--fine motor, writing, recall, etc... My oldest started addition and subtraction well before he started it in district. So much learning and fun takes place in that classroom!It’s a wonderful school and we are so happy to be a part of it.

Dutch Neck is an absolute gem of a school! We fell in love with it the moment we walked in to tour it last year. The children were laughing and learning, the teachers were both engaged and engaging, and all the toys and books encouraged open imaginative play. Dutch Neck puts a heavy emphasis on preparing kids for Kindergarten both intellectually and socially, which we didn’t find at many other schools. The teachers know students learn best if they’re emotionally prepared first, and they carefully plan their curricula to reflect this.My sons are in the 2.5 and 4 year old rooms and both love going to school. I know this is in large part due to the positive atmosphere Dutch Neck cultivates every day, creating a safe and fun place for kids to learn and play, explore and grow. I can’t recommend it enough!!

My daughter joined the school 1.5 years ago when she was 3 and we almost immediately fell in love with the school and the teachers. This is a school where one will feel “at home” and welcomed whenever you come in, where kids are taught to be a whole kid before being taught ABCs, where teachers are extremely patient and ready to accommodate kids of all kinds, where parents stay so connected like I have never seen before. Our gratitude is beyond what a simple “thank you” could describe.

This truly is a wonderful school. It is filled with warm, nurturing, experienced educators who really care about each and every child and foster their development. We’ve watched our two daughters grow into thoughtful, caring, confident young girls during their years here. We couldn’t be happier with our experience.
